I have the shutter and i already got a new dye ss and i have a revolution hopper. I am running it on CO2 so i was thinking of getting a palmer stabilizer. What should i get??

yeah man good choice. for co2, the Palmer Stabalizer is the best reg for CO2.

what other upgrades should i get

hrmm...get a new bolt...and a nwe valve. Get AKA bolt and Valve, and you'll have a low pressure gun.

What site has them the cheapest?

what all will a low pressure setup do for my gun?

get a nitro set up....the cross fire 68/3000 is nice...and you can screw it to the stock reg and the gauge will clear the drop ...(thats the setup I have..and I love it..)

low pressure will do the following for your gun:
1. Less ball breaks. SInce you are using less gas, the paintball isn't smacked out, but gently pushed out of the barrel.
2. Less noise. Less gas=less noise.
3. Gas efficiency. Less gas used=more shots out of a tank.
I have a low pressure Tl Plus, and i think it was worth the money.

you have to get more than a valve and bolt. you also need a lp chamber and lp reg.

TLplus84
01-16-2001, 09:39 AM
remember..the Shutter already comes with a low pressure chamber and he's gonna get a Palmer Stabalizer...good for lp use..

ssgohan
01-16-2001, 01:56 PM
yeah but it sucks and you don't really want to hold back when making a lp system or the whole thing might not work

hexer29

So what all will i have to get to go low pressure?

hexer29
01-16-2001, 04:27 PM
If i decide to go nitro, is the stabilizer good for nitro too?

ssgohan
01-16-2001, 04:57 PM
i am getting a lp system and after some research i am going to get an aka tornado valve, aka lighning bolt, aka mighty max lp chamber, and aka sidewinder reg. and i think that if u have palmers reg than it is only good for Co2 but i am not sure.

TLplus84
01-16-2001, 05:30 PM
if you decide to go nitro, the best reg is the Vigilante. For Co2, the best is the Palmer's staabalizer. I have to warn you though, don't EVER use co2 with the VIgilante..it's a Nitro use reg only. Also, about the shutter/Tl's LPC, it is a perfectly fine LPC. I use my stock on my TL plus, and i am running 300psi.

ssgohan

do u need to use Co2 when using a lp system? No,right?

TLplus84
01-17-2001, 10:55 AM
not at all..in fact i think HP is better when you're using lp...don't quote me on that though..

i am also gonna get an elcd, will that work good with low pressure and co2. What all parts do i need to go lp

TLplus84
01-17-2001, 12:43 PM
you will need a Reg, a Low pressure chamber, a High flow bolt, and a high flow valve. ALso, get a Centerflag Hyperframe from BBtpaintball.com b/c those are tourney legal and ELCD's arent.

hexer29
01-17-2001, 04:01 PM
i will probably get the stablilzer, aka lightning bolt, aka tornado valve, but what kind of low pressure chamber should i get? And why isnt elcd legal in tournaments?

TLplus84
01-17-2001, 04:36 PM
the elcd doesn't have a tournament lock to prevent the user from changing the mode to full auto fire. And as many know, full auto is not allowed in tourneys. Also, your stock lpc is fine..i have a Tl plus and i use my stock Low pressure chamber and it works fine. If you wanna waste another 30 bucks for a new Lpc, go ahead...but unless you're goin sub-250 psi, you'll be fine.

One more qestion, is there anyother sites to get the aka parts and the stablilzer other then g3pb?

TLplus84

yeah man..
go to http://www.bbtpaintball.com/catalog

hey how much can a new lpc drop your pressure?

TLplus84
01-18-2001, 02:52 PM
it's not how much it can lower your pressure..if you're gonna run low pressure, you have to have one or it won't work..but i'm telling you..a stock Kingman LPC will work PERFECTLY unless you're goin for sub 250 psi.

ptflyer
01-18-2001, 04:08 PM
the LPC is for volume not pressure...you need more air at a lower pressure to to get the same force as less air at higher pressure..thats why a LPC is a good idea...but I wouldn't spend alot on one...all it is, is an empty metal tube...of god's sake...any one will do....

ElectricHead
01-18-2001, 04:41 PM
i think that they may be different in terms of performance, otherwise why would some cost like20 bucks and some 40??

ptflyer
01-19-2001, 07:31 PM
nope...just style and anodizing..but they are all about the same...all it does is store more volume behind the valve...because you need the volume with LP...(with LP you need more air...at lower pressure)..

hexer29

Is there any other valve that is just a good as the tornado but costs less.

hexer29
01-22-2001, 07:04 AM
When i get my stabilizer, should i keep the stock on and have dual regulators or just take it off.

elTwitcho
01-22-2001, 07:49 AM
Save your money dude. Add up the cost of an electro trigger, a shutter, a tornado valve, an inline reg... and you're left with a gun that costs as much as an inexpensive electro, and performs incredible for a spyder, but pretty poorly for an electro. I'm only saying this because I've been down the path of putting too much into a spyder, at the end you just end up wondering why you did it

hexer29
01-22-2001, 08:36 AM
i probably am not gonna get a tornado valve, and i dont really care if it will never perform as good and an "electro" will. I dont even play with anyone that has an electro. and i added up the costs of everything and it is still cheaper than gettin a bushy or defiant.

ToiletSiphon
01-22-2001, 03:46 PM
Yeah, an upgraded spyder (without an electro trigger) is even less expensive than a autococker 2000. Maybe the cocker has less kick, but you have a better barrel with the upgraded spyder and a better regulator (palmer stab. instead of a WGP regulator). You can also run the same pressure.

hexer29
01-22-2001, 05:22 PM
can someone please tell me if there are any other valves other than the tornado valve that are cheaper and perform equally as good

Hi! TLPlus84
Just wonder if you can pull the Shocktech Rear Cocking Bolt
out completely without pulling out the disconnecting pin on the TLPlus first..
I can't do that with my shocktech bolt.

ptflyer
01-23-2001, 04:04 AM
I can't pull out my shock tech bolt on my shutter without taking out the disconect pin...because the bolt pin doesn't retract enough to get past it...but I like the bolt anyway..

and yes there are other valves that will fit the shutter...I have a 32o magnaport valve in my shutter...works great...

Is the turbo valve good?

ssgohan
01-24-2001, 01:44 PM
elcd's do have a tourney lock switch. it is inside the lcd side of the grip frame.
