Ok i have a couple of questions,
1. Is it ok to cock the gun and then fire it if there is no Co2 attached or balls insdie, basically will it hurt the gun?
2. Is it ok to turn the volocity ajuster when the gun is cocked?

what kind of marker?

basically, as long as you keep the bolt and internals oiled and cycle oil through the marker after regular play, dry firing the marker isin't bad. turning the velocity adjuster while the marker is cocked isin't bad for the marker, to the best of my knowledge.

Neither will hurt your gun at all. Just keep it oiled. You will acquire scratches on the bolt though, no matter what. I advise buying a delrin bolt to reduce wear on the reciever.

Thanks a lot guys, so do i take apart the gun, like the volocity ajuster and bolt and all that and oil it?

Sure add a little oil, even if its not nessesary it won't hurt.

Oiling your gun is simple. Just put a drop or to on/in the ASA (air source adapter, the place where you screw in your tank) and a few drops on your bolt from down the feed (the part where your paintballs go down). Also oil any O-rings that will be exposed to friction, like on the striker, or by the cup seal. It doesn't hurt to oil surface areas that are exposed to friction too, like the striker bolt and sear. Also, every once in a while like to oil the all the threading on the parts that screw into my gun, barrel, volumizer etc just to keep everything running efficently. Sorry I kinda said a mouthful, but if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. :)

The striker is also known as the hammer. It's the little black heavy thing underneath your bolt that the bolt connects to. It stirkes the valve when the bolt moves forward, allowing air to flow through the valve to the bolt and propel the ball.
I understand Centerflag makes a delrin-coated one that prevents wear on the receiver body and requires no oiling, while still retaining the weight needed to open the valve, but I haven't been able to find one.
