Which, in your opinian, is better, to build or to buy a paintball gun. Take into consideration buget, reliability, etc. Explain your view.

Building your own gives it a deeply perseonal feel. It also gives you a sense of accomplishment. However it's not for everyone. Both are acceptible.

Does anybody know where i can get a matrix body?

Buying it will give you a higher resale value, making it yourself really personalizes the gun.

Buying is cheaper and better if you don't know much about paintball (ME)

Building is more expensive but is always good cuz it makes it YOUR gun and you know exactly everything going into this gun, meaning you have no false expectations. It is harder to sell a built gun but they are usually hella expensive:D

And there is a third option, the one I am taking... Buy a high end semi/low end electro and keep upgrading till you have between 2 and 0 stock parts left, then it is like building your gun only it is in working condition right out of the box.

By the way, does AKA still make merlin bodies for spyders?

I would say buy an nice semi or maybe an cheap Electro and uprade like hell. You can them andonized and Crap so its original but building can be a pain. Personnally I got my Tribal Twister and I am upgrading the Hell outta it. An andonizing only cost like a few hundred for nice work.

I have built everyone of my guns from scratch and it deffenatly gives you the sense of accomplishment but also if you do put the time and money into it in the end you will get alot more for resale for a custom gun because they aren't just manufactured . take for example my cocker that i have now I put like 950-1100 into it but I am now in the process of trading it for a dark angel just because of the uniqueness(it is color chamellian)

It depends on what you are doing with it. For instance for backyard ball I suggest a low end semi. If your into tournies I would suggest a high end semi or electro. And for scenarios I suggest building your own to fit what you are doing. For instance I got about 20-25 old stock that had been bored out too much and were useless to the owner for free and I made a bundh of single shot rifles for when we have revolutionary war reinactments. We basically built paintball cannons out of 3/4 inch schedule 40 pipe and mounted them in stocks and I sold them for twenty bucks a piece to the local paintball field.
