Accuracy can be improved with a new barrel, and a correct paint/barrel match. As for distance, 300 fps, is 300 fps...the only way around it is to use a barrel that puts backspin on the paintball, such as a flatline, but thats only for model 98's and cockers.

If you are shooting noticeably less farther than someone else and both markers are at the same velocity, it may be that you are using paint that is soft, dimpled, or out of round. But for the most part a marker set at 300 fps will be the same as any other marker with the same velocity.

MTU_Paintbaler could not have said it better. It always surprises me on how many people slept through physics class. The only two ways to obtain greater distance is more velocity or shooting a heavier object. Heavier objects retain velocity for a longer period of time. But since paintballs are approx the same weight (no meaningful diffrence) this variable is mute.

I've found that by throwing my marker as I pull the trigger adds a few more feet of distance. Please note: Your accuracy will suffer if this is not performed properly.
