I know that sometimes you will have to surrender, but I had a simple thought. Ok lets say someone is behind me and yells for me to surrender. Most like they will be aiming at my head so can I spin around or to their direction and whie turning drop to one knee and fire. Anyone tried this before or think it would work?
They will kill you for doing that. They are being nice not to shoot you at point blank but you will do it to them, not a good idea. Do it if you want.

My philosophy on surrending is this: If someone is sneaky enough to get up close enough to me that they can call a surrender on me, well, then they deserve the surrender. I give kudos to anyone that can sneak up on me and get close enough to do that. I respect stealth, and so I'll surrender every time. Plus, it's just a game. If I have to surrender, there's another game starting in 5 to 10 minutes anyway. Heh.
Oh, and a sidenote. No one has every actually gotten close enough to me to make me surrender. ;) _I_ do the sneaking. Heh.

If someone, like Crime Dog said, can sneak up on me, good for them...I just surrender. No need to go home with a welt the size of a fist for trying to play macho. In fact, when I do surrender, I thank them for askig me first, and not shooting the **** outta me.

once i almost surrendered in a game beacuse it was me vs 2 and they weren't moving, just firing at the trees i was behind. it was stoopid. we played like that for about ten minutes. i won the game by luck and accident, but yeah, i would surrender to someone if they snuck up on me. i can't remember, but it might have happened once. i do most of the sneaking and bunkering.
Ive never been bunkered or surendered, I will go down with a fight. But if someone asks me to after sneaking up on me then I will, Like Cdog said, I respect that.

All that I know is that if I asked someone to surrender and they turned and shot me I would shot them like hell even though I was already shot and I would never ask anyone again. Never surrender if your out numbered in a game see how many you can get out it will scare you like hell but don't be a sissy.

Once it was me and like 3 other guys all bunkered against about ten, with 10 or so minutes left. It was scary as heck and at least a couple of them has autos because whenever we got enough courage to put are gun through tthe hole in the wall like 30 paintballs would come flying from all directions and we all yell GET DOWN! and hit te floor then watch as the guy in front of us had paintballs hitting all over about 2 feet above his head. We held out though, and the game ended up a tie

that's about the uncoolest thing i've ever heard. i hope you're kidding when you write that. when i play and people shoot from like five feet away people bleed and stuff and surrendering is to prevent that (yes we chrono to safe speeds). if you did that to me i'd just light you up even though the game was over

Well, don't EVER expect someone to surrender in a tourny. And don't ask for them either. Back on Recball planet however, if someone asks you to surrender, it's a judgement call. If they're right behind you, yeah, you're dead. He outplayed you and was nice enough not to shoot you. Drop it or he'll rop you real fast, probably with many many shots. On the other hand if some wacko is running towards your bunker hollering "surrendeeeeer!!!!", take your shots. I'm not gonna surrender when he's in my sights as much as I'm in his. Do the sportsmanlike thing. Putting down your marker and pulling your sidearm when the other guy drops his guard is NOT ethical, and believe me, that's why we have full-auto mode. (So many people wonder about that)

If the person is in front of me, i will not surrender, period. if they're behind me, chances are they can pop off at least one shot before i can get around enough to fire a shot at them. i'll surrender then.

I listen to people shoot when I play. I try to notice how much air they have and try to estimate their paint supply because i look at their harnesses before I play. Usually I see people surrender when the other person doesn't have any air or paint. It's cruel but i try to communicate with my team and tell them. I try to keep a constant watch seeing where people move. I don't stick my head out and keep it out.

In woods play and backyard I'll surrender if asked and they are behind me. They outplayed me and I shouldn't have let them get that close. I'll be a good sport. In tourneys though it's no holds barred. Never, EVER surrender in tourneys....mmk?
if he had the option to either a) make me bleed or b)gimme a surrender offer and he chose B hes a damn nice person. ill surrender, and if its a woods game i wont even yell out, just raise my gun so i dont give away his position. hell the guys being nice, dont be a prick. some guy tried to run up to me and yelled surrender, so i shot him, i had just tried that same move on his teammate and since he was a noob he did surrender. always consider the person before asking them to surrender also. some people i dont give surrenders too cause they try to be macho.

Don't surrender. If they are in front or behind and call surrender, jump to one side and start blasting. More often than not people can't hit you as they don't expect you to move. Also, if they are within arm's reach and in front, grab the barrel of their marker and move it out of the way, then plug them in the chest. it works like a charm!
Although I've seen something wrong with that. Once, a guy grabbed someone's barrel and brought his marker up, and then the other guy grabbed HIS barrel. They stood there looking at each other until the ref's broke it up.

come on guys!!! they can trick you. wait 5 seconds because your team mates might hear and try to support you. just don't make any sudden movements.

Radius- If I offered you a surrender and your tried to spin and shoot me, I'd have 5 shots on you already before you got one off. Just some food for thought. Chances are that he can shoot you faster than you can turn around.
Bottomline, the guy that snuck up behind you is offereing you a surrender out of sportsmanship. Don't try to be all high and macho by taking him out. There is another game in 5 minutes anyways.

Radius if I ever played you and you did that I would be throwing punches. That was the stupidest thing I have ever heard you should get some kind of award. " grab the barrel" Good thing you won't get shot in the hand like nobodys buisiness. "plug them in the chest" why not the balls hell why not take your barrel off and hit them. WARNING ONLY DO THIS TO A RENTAL to scare them sh*tless. You deserve nothing for being stupid

radius, what you said should be deleted. Unless of course, you were talking about tourney speedball. but you weren't, so i guess it should still be deleted. This is a newbie forum, and if a newbie read that, he just might do what you said. thats scary. you could get kicked off the field for that kind of playing. you must not have any respect for fellow players. Thats how injuries happen, and thats how paintball fields get closed down as well as giving pball a bad rep. ITS ONLY A GAME!!!
