Well, it finally happened. My stock plastic grip frame started to give me a few little cracks. Time for a new grip frame!
I headed out and looked around. I was all set to buy a chromed DYE gripframe that would have looked nice and pimp... but I saw this other grip that just looked good.
I opened it up and felt it and fell in love with it.
Its shaped kinda like a Thompson grip but thinner. It has skateboard tape on the pannels that give you a very solid and non-slip hold. These grips just rock.
When I took it out for the next full day of paintball I noticed a big improvement on both grip, trigger pull, and other things I just couldnt put my finger on at the time.
After the day was over I realized what it was... Hanging that bottomline off the plastic frame I had some flexing that really wasnt noticable until I had a really stable platform. Now, I like the factory grip frame. I think it feels good - but being made out of mere plastic really isnt giving you any advantage other than being a cheap part you can toss when you buy your new one.
With this rock steady platform I found that my accuracy improved a great deal... when I thought I was accurate enough before!
I was making shots that I couldnt believe... 50 yard head shots, 25 yard one shot tags through slots in pallets...
Nice!
My Marker:
WGP 2001 Autococker, Low Pressure Kit, ANS 4-Way, ANS Quickpull Venturi Bolt, Dye Boomstick, Palmer Rock, Death Grip frame.
