O-ring works but you can back the reg out and bring the pressure up that way

exactly why (operation wise) do you need an on/off for an impulse?

You need a on off so you don't power spike the Solenoid.You are to bring up the pressure slowly not a quick jump.Or you back the reg off and bring it up that way.
Its what smarts parts is saying Richy,So I do what they say too do.

The "pin pusher" in the manifold is too long, to keep you from spiking the solenoid. If you don't get an on/off valve or use the double o-ring trick, it is very hard (almost impossible) to screw a tank in without ruining your tank o-ring. The on/off valve is the better (and recommended) choice because its easier to slowly increase the pressure.

That's great but my tank does not have an on/off valve.

Is there any way of "adding" one to an existing nitrogen system?

Then you back the Max-flo off lower the pressure and then bring it up that way.

PD its a joke,She works on our team now but she has said 5 markers in 5 months is too much.I have sold 2 off and going to cut loose of the Impluse next

I know it was a joke, I was just playing around. I'm sure she says she's a better player than you are...Is she?

Not really a bad player but she plays like every now and then. She does more for the team keep all our paper work and making sure out air tanks are full and co2 tanks by the weekend.
After we practice the weekend she and the other guys wifes and girl friends BBQ for us.
They have been going around and checking on a banner and logos etc.
