In a rec game how can get people worked up and make them play agressively in both speedball and woods games?
I always end up way in front of my team because they don't like to move.
Note: This isn't tourney ball. It has to be simple, quick and glorious.
Tell them that you will charge with them into battle and slaughter the week enemies that defy you. ALSO THAT YOU ARE fight for your turf. Yell at them and tell them if they retreat you'll take em out. That will work.

Ak47, your idea is violent, irrational, confusing, and hilarious. I like it.
I could just copy William Wallace...replacing "The English" with "The Red Team". :wink2:

Well don't try to intimidate them or scare them into moving up, especially if they're younger less experienced players. You want to make sure everyone has a good time so they get into the sport and come back to play again. I like to pick out a few of the newer players, and ask them to move up with me and follow with me. I give them orders and tasks to do (ie take that bunker and hold it, pin all the guys on the left side etc etc etc) but I never yell at them. You'll get much better results if you try to gently lead players to do something as opposed to forcing them into it with yelling and threats. Just lead, and most newbies will follow. They're scared and looking for direction. Heck even for me, if an experienced player starts suggesting orders and sounds like he knows what hes doing, I do what he tells me to. But any prick tries to boss me around I "accidentally" shoot them on the break.:)
Tell them if they don't follow your orders you'll shoot them yourself:laugh:

Take hostages or better yet threaten to shoot yourself out in the foot. :|
