I wanted to know if you, if you were in my case, would ask your principle of your school to have a paintball team and play at the local feild against other schools. what do you think? I am gunna tell him that we will teach them the rules, safety procudures, and what to and what not to do. should I? vote please and leave comments or suggestions here.

This is currently a very toughy subject. After Columbine and all those other school shootings. Adults are very resevered in anything even remotely related to guns to be let anywhere near schools. Also many schools have a 0 tolerance policy which would make it very difficult for you to start a team. It wouldnt hurt to ask. But the chances are very slim to none.

I'd say no because what other schools are you going to play? If you want to start a team, school is probably not a good place because people are to afraid of school shootings.

well, if i were in your position i'd ask, just to see what he says, but answer will probably be 'no'. like durty dan says, we have 2 things that work against the sport: we "shoot" each other, and we carry "guns". no matter how much you explain safety and the lessons learned from paintball, the critics will zone in on those two words: 'shoot' and 'guns'...and you can pretty much guess what they'll say..
'tis a very good idea tho

My friends and i tried it, but it failed they had the same problems of school shootings and ****.
1)my best advise is to plan everything out.
2)do a presentation covering all the basis.
3)refer to the GUNS as MARKERS.
4)refer to SHOOTING as PAINTING.
5)show the safty gear.
i dont think there is anything else. but be careful what you say and plan.

Not true. Our school has an Air riflery team. They use pellet guns(which are much more dnagerous) than any paintball marker. I saw this thing on MSN about how if you pump a pellet gun enough, you can get enough velocity to shoot holes through people. Although now that I think about it, they only shoot at paper targets and we shoot at people. This may not sit well with the administration. Damn those people at colombine!! Look what they started. Crippling this sport because of their foolish actions. But more importantly they killed people which is even worse. But I'm sorry for cursing them, not supposed to speak ill of the dead.:(
....I got it! We'll put a whole new spin on paintball! from now on, instead of a marker or gun, call your marker a 'flower'. And when you shoot people, call it 'giving love'. So when your parents ask "where are you going?" you can calmly reply "Outside with my flower to give love to my friends" This change in termanology could save the sport.
Also, we'll change the guns to look like flowers and little cuddly animals like dead squirrels and stuff. Then everyone will be ok because everyone likes flowers and squirrels.....
Nevermind already... the guns are what make this sport cool and attractive, but yet, they limit what we can do and how the sport can grow. Ironic isn't it. We like it because society doesn't approve. It's almost like an anti-culture if you think about it. But now I have gotten way off subject and you all probably think I'm nuts.

On one hand, football is more dangerous than paintball, but on the other, to someone who doesn't play or hasn't played, paintball seems much more dangerous.

If you had a team up...what would you do? Would you try to get other schools to form pball teams or just play within your own school? Also, if most people didn't have their own equipment, things could get preeety expsenive, $$$KA CHING KA CHING$$$
