Finally a real good picture of it. I have since sold it but I thought what you can see here may help you with your ideas for future Maverick upgrades!

Why did you sell it?

What is better the Maverick or the Hornet?

I sold it in hopes of getting a Sniper II sometime this summer or fall. I absolutely love Autocockers and have so many barrels and other Cocker accessories, so if Im gonna have any pump gun, the Sniper II should be it!

The Hornet is harder to come by, and is my opinion harder to disassemble/reassemble. Perfromance wise, there is NO difference.

Got the barrel & macroline kit at 888Paintball, the grip at allenpaintball.com (APP), the Reg and BL adapter at Paintballgear.com.

you had to replace the grip to put the bottom line on didnt you? I just picked up 3 mavericks on e-bay and they all have hollow grips

Those hollow "euro" style grips suck. Mine was replaced with an APP Aluminum 45 Grip frame, cost me $25.

I bought my Trracer 2nd hand. It had a couple upgrades on it. It does have a bottom line. But i dont know if it is the original grip. I'll post a pic, and maybe u guys could tell me. Also, The main difference between a Hornet and Maverick is that the Hornet is an undercocking pump. It uses 1 metal pump rod underneath instead of 2 plastic ones on the sides, like the mav. It just keeps dust and dirt out of the gun better.

yeah thats the stock grip i dont know how whoever put the bottomline adapter on did it but its def the stock grip.

does any1 else have velocity inconsistency problems with their maverick?
my last string of 5 shots was 260, 242, 305, 173, 277. well im not usually picky, but theres sumthin wrong here. i dont feel like buying a reg, too much money.

that bottomline adapter goes into the grip. Most have a screw holding them in.

Ive said it before and I'll say it again, the velocity adjusting bolts are crap and provide little adjustment capability. The only way I was able to get a nice fps was to put in a high tension Cocker (Nelson based) main spring and use the Reg to restrict airflow to allow for a nice 285-300 fps.

oh, well, thats nice i suppose, but i dont have trouble getting a good amount of fps. i can jack the bolt up all the way and put a power spring in and it shoots about 370 fps

i have trouble with inconsistency

why would u want your velocity that high? Accuracy goes to sh*t. and its dangerous

Sconic

no kidding i would never shoot somebody while my gun is shooting that hot i tried it to see what my max velocity is and i just hit a tree a couple times with it from about 65 yards away. the maverick is a scary gun when u turn it up that high, and it sounds like a shotgun shooting.
i was just making a point to paintball pimp that i have no trouble getting velocity, i just have trouble keeping it there. and i too cheap to buy a reg, and a gun shouldnt have round +70/-85 fps, even without a reg.

Most Cocker owner's replace the stock reg on those guns right away (myself included), you can normally get one from them for around $30, and they are nice regs, but NOT externally adjustable (doh!). It will at least give you the consistancy you've been looking for.

the difference between the hornet and the maverick is the hornet has undercocking and the mav has sidecocking, if you ever consider pump...go for the maverick

You've posted in a thread that is nearly five years old, and then bumped it after one minute when you haven't got an instant response? Half the people in this thread probably don't even visit here any more, and some of them probably aren't even involved with paintball. A lot changes in five years. You'll need to be a bit more patient.
