Magazines???

I was just wondering whats a good paintball magazine, that might have list of big games in the back of it. So basically i'm looking for a good magazine. If you know of one just post it. Thanks

Action Pursuit Games, Facefull, Paintball Magazine and PB2X

most arn't worth your money since they're just filled with photos about ppl who are about to shoot or have been shot....i'd just buy 1 a year for info about the new guns and stuff

I personall think APG is the best for rec players, and PB2X is the best for people that want tortament info, but I have never read Facefull so I am not sure what is in there. I was not impressed at all with Paintball Magazine, but again I am a rec/scenerio player and it does not appeal to me, you may like it though.

I think those are the only ones, mags are a waste of money, the few reviews are the only good parts.

I also like the pics from the scenerio games those are usually cool cause you can spot some nicely upgraded markers. Mabey even get some inspiration or ideas from there.

facefull is good, because in one mag, they had this chick holding a paint gun as she was coming out of the water, and she was wet, and you could see her nipples :) just like in spider man

I have not found any paintball magazine that does a really good job of covering rec/woods ball.

APG is useful for a couple issues a year, but after that I find that it gets very repetitive. I would not bother with a yearly subscription. Plus its product reviews are really just glossy advertisments.

PB2X has better marker evaluations and tournament info than APG. It also has a list by region, state, etc of upcoming events in an easy to follow format. It seems more worthwhile as a general magazine. Plus, you wanted to know about big games and it lists them.

Facefull is THE world tournament magazine. It only comes out 6 times a year and each issue is thick and full of tournament info. It has strategies, team ranks, records of plays, field set-ups, tournament schedules, etc. If you want to get into tournaments pick this mag up. Unfortunately, that is the ONLY thing the magazine appears useful for. So if you are not heavy into tournaments, save your money. (Yes, it has a few scantily clad women but certainly no more so than any "women's" magazine cover at the grocery store check-out lane.)

I just got a sample of issue #1 of "What Paintball Gear?" but loaned it to a friend. It appears to focus on product reviews. I'll have to see how it fairs over time.

In summary, for you, I would say pick up an issue of APG twice a year and to go with PB2X for what you want.

i think APG is targeted more toward new players . . . they never really have alot of info and reviews and real high end guns and tourneys, its more for rec . . . i subscribed to it for a year (my first magazine) and it was cool, but as said, it gets repetitive. i like crossfire and paintball magazine . . . havent read a PB2X . . .
