Hi guys, I know we all hate comparision/should i get this? threads, and i hate to add another one, but I'm really in a bind...
-Okay, my b-day is rolling around in about 2 months, so I'm already composing my list... Well, Iv'e been playing paintball for about 5 years, I've owned various pumps and a few semi's, and i figure it's time for me to go "high end"
Well, I'm asking for an AGD RTpro w/ACI bulldog adjustable 47/3k nitro tank. But, that rolls out to about $660 and I dont think my parents are going to be too enthusiastic about that...
So, I was thinking of lower-priced guns that i could go for, so I'm considering the impulse...
-Well, I just wanted to know a few questions--
-How is the stock trigger pull?
-How is the stock barrel?
-What do i need to get that is vital besides a drop forward, nitro, new barrel, etc...
-Is there anything i should adjust on it right away?
-Where's the ceapest place to get them?
-What kind of nitro tank is reccomended?
Sorry to make another annoying dumb post, but really, thanks so much for your help.
the stock trigger is alright but i reccommend a new trigger maybe.......the blade!!
the stock barrel is pretty good but i would also recommend upgrading that to a freak if you have the cash to fork out
you might need to adjust the pressure a little
another thing that is vital is a new bolt so you can throw out your dow shocker lube
:P
paintballgear.com has them for cheap but go with EPBO they have great service
i like the pure enery tank personally

-Are there any companies that make the regular grooved triggers? because I really don't like blade-style triggers
-What is the address for EPBO?
-Is the pressure easy to adjust?
-o yea, What do i have to do for regular maintenence?
-and,... Can you upgrade a regular impulse to vision?
Thanx again

EPBO's addy (http://www.e-paintballoutlet.com)
yes, you just turn the knob in to increase, out to decrease.
if you have the stock bolt, lube the O-rings with DOW 33, lube the hammer shaft, and lube the O-rings in the maxflow.
and yes, you can upgrade to vision. but it's easier and cheaper in the long run to just go with vision right off the bat. It's 150 with vision and about 200 plus the install hassles if you upgrade.

first of all an imp is better than a mag, and 100% less likely to break
ok, now to answer the q's
-excelent, very light with a soft return, but it is set a bit long and with a very slight isde to side movement for safety. even with that the trigger pull is shorter than any mag (except the e-mag obviously, as you can adjust that), and you can shoot ridiculously fast strings of paint, i can outshoot my 12v revvy with the stock trigger
-the stock barrel is excelent, normally you would have to upgrade to a high end barrel when you get a marker, but with the imp you already have a high end barrel. it is very accurate, and for a good paint/barrel match go for any diablo paint/allstars
-first of all nitro is not needed, if you live somewhere very cold or can afford the extra cash without any problems then go for it, otherwise go for co2 with antisiphon. the imp was originally designed to run on co2, and with a consistecy of +- 3bps at 5 degress abouve freezing, i am not complaining. second of all a new barrel is not needed, the stock is excellent, only upgrade to a freak/othe barrel with adjustable bore size, otherwise don't bother.
the only thing you will need is a fast hopper, at the very least get a 12v revvy with x-board, as with a week of practice you will bw able to outshoot it. i recommend a ricochet, as they are fast, but not as heavy or big as a halo
- you will not need to adjust anything on it, as there is nothing to adjust once your velocity is set. to do this you set your reg to 180psi, and simply turn your dwell until you chrono 280 fps. after that there is nothing to adjust
-cheapest place i would not know, but try http://www.e-paintballoutlet.com
-for nitro simply get the smart parts max flo tank, it is one of the best for use with imps/max-flos, you should be able to get a package with a tank included.
-Are there any companies that make the regular grooved triggers? because I really don't like blade-style triggers
-What is the address for EPBO?
-Is the pressure easy to adjust?
-o yea, What do i have to do for regular maintenence?
-like i said earlier, the stock trigger is great, try the marker out before you get a trigger though, as it does take getting used to, and you may find that you don't want a new one
-as above, http://www.e-paintballoutlet.com
-the pressure is p*ss easy to adjust, you just have to turn the knob on the end of the max-flo clockwise/anticlockwise, you only have the one reg, and that is the best way to have it
-regular maintenance takes 15 mins, and you do it after each day of play, all maintenance is described in the manualhttp://www.smartpartseurope.com/tech.html it is easy to do, and a lot easier than the mag you were thinking of getting
hope that helps, feel free to PM me if you want any more help/advice

Alrighty, thanx guys:) -I'm gonna ask for one from EPBO, probably. -Iv'e just got a few more questions--
-Okay, since I'll probably get it from EPBO, I'll do the custom-build thing, so what internals are reccomended?
-this dosen't really concern impulses, but-- is preset the same as fixed reg. on nitro?
-Is it better to use an adjustable tank on the impulse?
-Thank you very much:)

Internals--
Delrin Bolt, you don't have to lube it and it's lighter so it has less kick when it slams forward.
other than that i have no clue bought internals

Just get a regular tank, not adjustable because your Imp will come with a Max Flow. Buying an adjustable would be a waste a money.
