Ok, I've got a Spyder Compact 2 in 1 Java. When I got my gun, I got an expansion chamber, without knowing that I should get a regulator. WHAT A DUMB MOVE! THE DAMN EXPANSION CHAMBER HAS LEAKED 2 TIMES! IT AIN'T MY FAULT EITHER! It's 32* so that means it is crap. I don't know what to do.
1) Get it fixed for free.
2) Put my bottomline on, take off the expansion chamber, and put on just a fore grip.
3) Buy a new expansion chamber.
4) Buy a regulator. What does a reg do? Also, will just a regulator make the gun low pressure or do I need more parts?
Which do you recommend out of those!?!?!? I just want a gun that doesn't leak when I put the co2 on and can go out every 2-4 weeks and play! I'ma newbie with a newbie gun that needs a reliable gun!

Yo, I've got the same gun and I almost did the same exact thing. Out of all of those choices, I would do one of the following:
A) Put it back to the way it was. If it works, go with it.
B) Buy a stock cocker reg like I've got. They're cheap, they work pretty well, and they'll improve your gun and give you a place to grip it.

If you want to buy a used Vigilante cocker reg, I just happen to have one in pretty good condition for sale. :)

That was not a dumb move. Putting an expansion chamber on a marker is a basic CO2 upgrade. You may have recieved a defective expansion chamber or installed it incorrectly. Bring it to your local paintball store or field and see if they can install it for you or check to see how it was manufactured. You dont really need a reg unless you are going HP

Go to http://www.888paintball.com
On there, go to expansion chambers and mine is a 32* 6 stage. Now, you see that there is silver on the top and bottom and a color between (red, blue, etc.). Well the colored part, the top and bottom of the colored part (between the silver), is leaking. It might be because it came loose, I don't know.
However, I think I have been screwed by the paintball industry. I bought a gun from a local store and they priced it higher than I could get it off the internet. I can't trust the paintball industry anymore. I've been screwed twice- gun price and expansion chamber. I just want to play paintball! I don't care much about being the best cause I'm a newbie! If I would have known, I would have gotten an Xtra or a TL Plus instead of a Compact cause it has the grip. I can't sell the Compact cause the expansion chamber ain't working and I doubt I can get my money back. DAMMIT! So I'm screwed. My parents don't pay for paintball, I have to, and I am going to get a job soon, but until then I can't afford to buy a **** expansion chamber, trash it, and then get a new one because the old one leaked. I need something that will work on my gun, be it a fore grip or an expansion chamber or a regualtor!

happened to my friends compact. first put some oil into xchamber. you need to use teflon tape at all hose conecting poitns to seal it. if you try to do it manually than you will strip it-happened to him as well
