I agree but what brought this up was it a particular incedent or just a spur of the moment of the sleeve thought...

Define abuse. Are you talking about people who use paintball guns for vandalism or physical attacks? Or are you talking about players who don't have honor on the field? Are you talking about wipers and squids? Or maybe players who don't work with their team and think they are the best there ever is?
There are a lot of different levels of abuse in a sport such as ours. Sometimes it takes some reflection upon ourselves to truly see where abuse can reside. Do you do the right thing and immediately leave the game when you are hit? Do you promote safety on and off the field? Do you help others in the staging area with tactics, strategies and their equipment? Even if they are on the other team?
Not doing these items is an abuse to paintball. I've seen many dishonorable players in my time and it sickens me everytime.

I have to disagree on giving away tactics and strategies (in tournaments). If you are talking rec ball, well that is a different story.

ell yeah, I think he ment rec ball with that post. If you see someone in a tournament coming over the top of a bunker, in the same place every time, it's better for you because that is one easy elimination. Besides, by the time they're i tourneys, they should have some common sense (like not coming over the top of a bunker in te same place eery time). Besides, a lot of tourney players dont take friendly advice very well.

hrmm..in the real world though..not related to Paintball....those people out there that are vandalizing property and shooting others with them....that's just F*cked up because we're trying to make PB a good sport...but they're just defacing it more and more..i don't htink they should be allowed to even play paintball..and those that play paintball AND go vandalizing property.......

I was talking about rec ball. In tournaments we still help each other as well as we can but I'm not going to give away our tactics!! If I did we wouldn't be the Indiana State Novice Champions!!!

Yeah, I agree about the drive bys and stuff. We need some tough laws to make people think twice about doing stuff like that. Maybe even laws on how you transport your guns from place to place.

No you can't just go to your local station and ask to see/or buy seized property. The only time you can buy that stuff is when a department has an aution. These are of goods that haven't been claimed in a year or more.

The people who are like Horses Arses on the fields, well, we can deal with them right ... But those Grandmother shooters and Drive Buys and Vandals ... when ya see those stories in the paper, on the TV news ... ya better write those letters to the editor explaining why it's a safe sport, etc. Ya gotta counter those bad stories, ya gotta point out the good stuff (like that charity tourney ActionJunkie is helping organize) and ya gotta appeal to the medias ideal of "Objective reporting." If they give paintball bad press because some dumbArse road by a house shot the windows out, don't they owe it to the honest players and store owners and field operators to portray the postive aspects of the sport.? Don't they owe it to the community not to portray everyone who owns a paintball gun as a lunatic waiting to explode?

In California the GUN Transportation laws apply to ANY GUN, BB, Paint, or firearms. Ammo must be in a secured area of the vehicle NOT WITHIN reach of the driver, Gun must be sucured with some form of disabling device. Officers Accept a Barrel plug and air tank being off gun to be ok.
