i was cleaning out my gun (spyder xtra) and noticed my bolt is scratched a bit. there was also black streaked on top of the bolt. dirt oil im guessing. maybe some dirt got in there and scratched it...i usually clean it real good though so i dont know. is it anything to worry about? will is greatly hinder my marker's performance?

no. a bolt on a BLow back like a SPyder or Piranha can cycle up to 40 times a second. its natural for a little ware one the bolt like you described.

Who's spyder cycles 49 times a second:eyes:
Or do you mean the tolerances of the materials can withstand cycling at 49 times a second?

Don't worry about the scratches. Just make sure there is no dirt in your marker or on your bolt. Clean it and oil it. It is just caused by friction between the bolt and inside walls of the marker. Happens on most blow backs.

i said it COULD cycle 40 times a second, not it DOES cycle 40 a second.

How? What E frame shoots that fast? You'd be sucking liquid co2 faster than a $5 whore.

my bolt has SO MANY scratches on it's not even funny. like thousands of deep ones. also, it was crunchy when i cocked it so i sanded off a little bit of excess metal and now it's smooth again even with scratches. i just need to lube it up a little more and all will be sweet

Holy sandbox, Batman! Crunchy?? Sanded of the excess metal?? I tremble at the notion. "So anyway, my barrel seemed a little long, so I ground some off with a file." :blah:
