Today I ordered the LPR kit and a replacement solenoid (EPBO was gracious enough to give me both for cost to offset the price of the solenoid- how incredible is that??? )

My RAT came with an ND AFF on it, and according to Walt (I'm pretty sure that's who I talked to) I don't need to install a screw to plug the air passageway since the AFF's O-ring will seal it. I'm confused how this will work- won't the solenoid and valve chamber still have an open air passageway, therefore negating the effectiveness of the LPR? I gotta be missing something here

Who else has put a LPR on a ND AFF? What did you have to do?

When you install a VFF, AFF or HFV you plug the hole that connects the valve to the solenoid air chamber. This is the same hole that you plug for an LPR mod. That is why having a VFF (or AFF or HFV) and LPR on the same Imp is pointless because the LPR will not work since the air is traveling directly from the Max-flow reg to the solenoid air chamber.

You will need to plug the hole under the body that is currently open allowing air to travel from the AFF to the solenoid air passage. I am not sure but the "LPR Kit" might include the necessary parts.

What EPBO is telling you is that you will not need to tap and plug the hole connecting the Valve and Solenoid passage since it is already plugged.

whoa... so is this gonna work? now i'm confused. Unless that part that screws into the solenoid chamber somehow cuts off the air flow...

If the Kit includes a modified Tapeworm you should be OK.

thanks- just recently actually. It's not a huge sponsorship, but we're very thankful for whatever we get- SP is giving us a sweet customized jersey/pant deal for our 14 players to start us off.

Yeah, its the ND solenoid... something-or-other ;)
