The x-core at www.countypaintball.com for only 15 bucks. ;)

Before an ex, get an anti-siphon. It does a better job, and costs less. Overall the better choice.

Then if you still want an expansion chamber, you might want to get a quality one. The X-core, we have some laughs at that. PB drilled a long hole, tapped both ends, and stuck that... thing in there. Not what I personally call quality work. But then again, it's only 15 bucks so don't expect the world out of it.
But if you are indeed using it in combo with the a-s, then it shouldn't be a bad buy.

As for which is the "best" alone without the a-s, I'm not too sure. There's a few out there I hear good things about. Such as ACI-6 stage, ProTeam Intruder, et cetera. I'd suggest looking around. See how much room these things have. The number of chambers don't matter if they're all way too small.

i have had nothing but good experience with the x-core. it's a myth that bigger equals better with x-chambers; really, bigger chambers reduces surface area to volume ratio and makes it harder for the chamber to transfer heat to all of the gas. so really bigger equals worse. mike at http://www.countypaintball.com (countypaintball) calls the x-core "the best and the least expensive." i think it's really solid.

I have a X-Core and it works really good, because my RT used to double or tripple fire until i got the X-Core, and it barely costs anything.

I have the tippmann one and it works great!

Gigantic isn't necessarily bigger, no. But bigger than the X-core is better. And anything bigger doesn't have to be much. I bet the 2-stage LAPCO expansion chamber has more room! [sarcasm]

Nothing against Mike. Great guy, and due to him and staff he operates THE best online store. If I don't buy from a proshop, I usually go to Mike.
However, he also strongly supports anything Psycho Ballistics, even if the product isn't put together to higher standards. PB makes a lot of great products, but then some others can easily be improved upon.

I'm also a lil' curious, you're saying it works great. Hell, I don't doubt it. Probably mild weather, and you're using it without problems. However... what are you guys comparing it to?

It would be the same as a guy using a Black Dragun for his first electro ever, and saying "it's the best"... when they haven't used anything like a Matrix or Timmy to compare it to.

Hey my friend has an x-core and he said that it works ten times better than the tippy one.

it is hard to judge the performance of an xchamber unless you test them w/ chrono's in temp. extremes.
