hey me and my friends are playing a 5 man tourny in a week and i was wondering about some tactis and postions. we are kids so we figured playing a kids tourny would be a good start (duh?). we were thinking of p[laying 2 back (me being one of them) one mid player and 2 tape runners. its our first tourny but we have played a lot of speed ball so we know the basics, thanks!
COMMUNICATION......
In order to play as a team you must learn how to commuicate with each other.
Come up with good codes so that the other team won't know what you are talking about.
Play to win.. don't ever go on the feild thinking that you are gonna lose. If you do then you already lost.
Keep an eye on the dead boxes both your and your oppenents.
Good Luck.

hey thanks we are going to go over code names this wedneday. what are some good on field stratigies, such as should we try and pin 'em in the middle in the very beginning, or just lay down tons of cross-fire, thanks!

If the other team has got to the 50, you are going to be in a tough position. Many speed ball fields have prime positions. What you need to do is walk the field before you play and find bunkers that you want to reach.
Next, its all a chess game and all about position. If you have the right position, you will be able to restrict the movement of the other team. Once they can not move, you can. The better positions you have, the tougher it is for your opponents to get a position that is easy to shoot you.
Stay tight...

hey i just entered my first tourney in co and one thing i definately learned was to not lose the upper hand. try to "out play" the other team as much as possible, try to take advantages of obvious weaknesses. Once the other team has the upper hand you will lose the game, also watch what the people that you arent shooting at are doing. we were playing a finals game and i thought for sure this guy couldnt get me so i continued working this other guy and before i knew it the least excpected person bunkered me. and have fun it sucks when you get angry, try to stay calm and dont get nervous

Hey i have a couple of tactics that may help you out. FIrst you may want to think about the formation that you will be using first there is the standard line formation wich garuntees a slaughtering unless you are up agains a REAL newbie team. One of the better formaitions to use is the M/W formation with 2 at the front and 2 at the back with one floating middle man. this allows you to spread you firepower out more evenly. If one man gets eliminated have them call for help from the middle man. makesure you have enough firepower on the front line. Make sure that your back men lay the paint down when the game starts so that your front men can advance as far up the field as posible. try and keep the other teams heads down. Also when you look the field over before the match make a sctech of it in your mind. look for the bunkers with the most cover from the middle. If they take the middle you want to keep your players from being exsposed. When you move up the field never leave men behind because you may need them badly if one of your players gets elimnated.
If you email me whith all the diffrent guns on your team maby i could help you out with a more spesific game plan these are only vague stratages. I hope i could help you out, email me back after the tourney if you dont get me before just to tell me how it turned out.

yah well the tourny got cancelled but we are planning to plan another in mid july. we were going to play with 2 inthe back(me) and 3 spread across the front. the 2 tape men have cockers and i have a blow back electro. the other back guy has a nice inpulse and our mid guy has a bushy. we were going to rotate 6 playres to try and not lose all our energy at the end of the day. our alter. will be shooting a matrix. uhh our back players are strong but our front is a little weak. we need some good drills and some schrimages would be helpful if your play at sc village or tombstone. the nice thing is we all know the fields like the back of our hands so we have that going for us!
