I just ordered the responce trigger, what does it take to deactivate for fields that won't allow its use? Do you need to take out any internals?

Some fields just let you turn the flow control screw shut (the tiny flathead). All the fields I play at let me do that if the game doesn't allow rt. If they are going to be real pricks about it..... that might take some work. I guess really all you would have to do is remove the air feed coming off of the valve and replace the gas-through bolt with a regular bolt (probably need to use some blue loctite or some fine teflon tape). I hope they just let you turn down the back screw.

Thanx squirrel, i'm gonna have to wait for my RT to arrive before understanding what your talking about.

Those who have double triggers and RTs, does adding a double trigger help control your mod of fire? What good is a double trigger with the RT?

most people use their middle finger on the bottom finger, its more comfortable. with the RT you have to use it for a while to get to be able to rip out a string of paint then snap shoot.

The RT comes with an off screw that you screw into the powertube to shut it off so you dont need to take out anthing (about closing the valve on the RT, when I do that, the cylinder fills with air and locks the trigger in place........) So really to turn it off completly for a game, you just have to switch out a screw is all. and as for the double trigger, it wont help you control the RT's ROF it just feels more comfortable is all.

Tip: Wear a glove if you shoot right-handed! Its not very funny gettin frostbite from having the RT fozen to your hand after a long stream of paint! (trust me, I would know)

I'm glad to hear it's that easy, so I should have no problem playing in a field that doesn't allow RT. I do have a question with the below quote:

"Wear a glove if you shoot right-handed! Its not very funny gettin frostbite from having the RT fozen to your hand after a long stream of paint!" - MethodusMaster

...........is this true if using nitro or does this only apply to CO2?

Sounds like the RT is a great $70 spent for my 98 Custom; Can't wait for it to arrive.

The kit comes with the bolt? I didn't get one when I got my kit. Looks like it is time to send an email to Tippmann Customer Service...... They will end up sending me five or six screws..... or a whole new RT set up. Best customer service in the industry.

No, the RT doesnt come with a new bolt but the older kits I think came with a stronger sear spring to replace the other. oh, and whats up with ordering new screws?

Do you need to get an electronic hopper if u get the RT? I know its not a necessity, but how many balls will I break if I play with a regular hopper?

You don't need a motorized hopper, but it helps if you want to be shooting really fast. I don't use one right now, and I don't chop paint so long as I just shoot short 3-5 round bursts. There is an advantage to not having a motorized hopper though- you won't be opening the paint flood gates, so it's easier on your wallet.

On E-Bay you can get a brand new, unopened box, response trigger for $65 plus $5 shipping and tax free if ordered out of state. I've used ebay a few times and been very satisfied with the service. If you don't like ebay, there are multiple sites selling RTs for $79 plus shipping. Hope this helps.

I purchased mine from some guy named Herbalpowerpills. If you have problems finding one for $65, try emailing him (email address listed below). He's registered on ebay with very high ratings and I think he has multiple Response Triggers for sale. Good luck

I run on a very tight budget, but need a RT, I decided to get the RT instead of the A-5 (I have about 300 dollars worth of stuff on my gun.)

Thanks

VertigoTech and Tippman4life

VertigoTech and Tippman4life, did you guys buy your Response Triggers? I saw brand new ones on E-bay today, under Buy It Now option, for $69.99 with free shipping. These deals seem to come once every week or two on E-bay, just keep your eye out. The Response Trigger rocks, well worth $70; this is the best Tippmann upgrade money can buy, AWESOME!!!

anyone know if you need an xchamber for the r/t. I heard that there is a chance of the internals freezing if you dont have one...

does the rt kit have diffrent firing modes???????

My RT kit came with a screw adjuster, I believe the newer models have these; when i recieved the additional parts to go with the LP kit, it's now a thumb adjuster. What do you guys with RT experience perfer? Will some fields disallow a thumb adjuster? I think, but not sure, I might be able to call Tippman to get a screw adjuster that works with the LP kit, just don't know if the screw is better than the thumb adjuster. Opinions would be much appreciated.

One more thing, I'm looking into getting a double trigger to work with my RT. What double triggers work best with the RT? I've read high reviews on the Toxic Performance Double Trigger and heard a new one modified for the RT will be out by the begining of July; is it worth waiting for this trigger?
