i have researched the hell out of the Flatline Barrel. i'm trying to decide whether or not its worth the bucks.
here are my pros:
- i always play woodsball in rather big, spacious areas
- having a flatline trajectory through thick and close trees would be a serious advantage
- i can have a professional install the flatline for me
- i am already a rather good shot (rifle team)
Cons:
- no one likes chopping paint, especially when its hard to squeegee
- i dont have a whole lot of expiereince diddling around with my gun (the flatline is supposed to be finnicky)
- paying lots of money for a barrel that might piss me off
- bouncing balls of my targets

so my choices are these: buy the flatline or buy a J&J ceramic 14''
i'm not really sure. i am willing to pay for the Flatline IF its worth the cost. any advice would be great. especially from anyone with expierience with a wide range of barrels (and woodsball expierience)
thanks

its not really worth the cost, and even though the trajectory is flat they are generally less accurate and by thte time the ball gets to them you could practically catch it in your hand the ball is going so slow.

forget about real guns improving paintball accuracy, the only thing shooting guns for me has helped (competition and avid plinker) is trigger control on my mag, but not accuracy.

so if the Flatline is just a waste of money could you folks suggest a good barrel for M98C playing hardcore woodsball?

Thats funny, I have a model98 Custom and play hardcore woodsball every other week in a field I gaurantee is bigger than yours. Im not kidding either. I use a one piece 14" Custom Products barrel. The two piece is nice to but it is like 30 bucks more (one piece is 50 bucks, two piece is 80). Plus the one piece comes in 24karat gold(not made out of, just painted with really fine gold so it wont make the barrel any heavier) for an extra price *BLING**BLING*.

you dont need a super long barrel for anything, i would get a shorter barrel because its just as accurate (actually moreso) than longer barrels and you can tuck into bunkers tighter.
