I was wondering what the best method of feild stripping the Model 98 was. I just feild stripped it earlier, and even though all the parts went back in the right spot, I thik something fell loose. I'm not about to go try to fix it until I know how to do it properly. Any steps or advice you have would really help. Thanks.

My advice would be: take it apart only if you have to, and be extremely careful. Make sure ALL the parts are in the gun CORRECTLY and you probably won't mess it up. Also, make sure you read the manual.

what made you decide to field strip a M98 anyway?
Theres very few reasons to do this as long as you go into a game oiled up and ready.
if it dosnt seem right, just take it apart when you get home and put it back together, it should be fine.

You may want to look into a Field Strip Screw set. That will help you strip it down a lot easier. You wont need allen wrenches and stuff.

because of the fact that it opens and closes like a book0very dum- i think field stripping is a bad idea...

yeah, you can purchas aftermarked feild stripping screws for your 98 which will make it easier... but why would you need to field strip a 98? the feeder is removable so anything that would require stripping should be left until it can be done in isolation. the 98 isnt as user friendly in this respect as mabey a Spyder.

I like some of the support I'm getting, but I'm starting to think some of you have a little to much time on your hands. Does the purpose of my feild stripping the M98 have anything to do with you telling me the best way to do it? Also, if you bothered reading any of the previous replys, you'd notice that they all ask the same thing: 'why did you feild strip it anyway?'. Well asking me over and over isn't going to get you a response other than this. Look, I don't mean to be rude, but all I wanted was help, not a bunch of sarcasim or insults.
