Ok, i just received my new pscho ballistics Aradus barrel ( www.pschoballistics.com ) I have a 15 day trial period on it and i want to test it out and compare it to my stock e-99 barrel. First off it is an adjustable barrel, the sizes are... .692, .688, .684, .680, .676, I want to compare it for accuracy, distance, and...Whatever else you all tell me i should test it for. If anybody has any ideas to test it out please let me know, I will also put up a review when i am finished. Thank you very much.

whoops, http://www.psychoballistics.com/frameSet.html This is the correct address
first thing id do is put it on my gun and shoot paintballs through it.. na im only half kidding, i dont kno off hand the size of ur stock barrel so u should find that out and then adjust the aradus to that size, then find a good paint-barrel match and shoot that paint through both barrels at 2 different targets at the same range, then move the targets back and repeat.. then compare the groups and see what happens.. that will show you both accuracy and range.. at the same time

...and make sure to clamp the gun somehow-- no matter how hard you try to stay still, you'll still move on every shot unless the gun is securely mounted to a base.

i also have an aradus. let me tell you, ITS AWESOME!!
they way i test paint is:
1)Grab about 7 or 8 of the paintballs
2)Set it on the biggest bore size
3)Blow two threw(with your own mouth).
If it just falls thru, its to big of a bore size. if it get stuck, its to small. If you can blow it thru with a fairly hard blow of your own mouth, then its perfect.
I will be doing accuracy test (with pics) today or tomorrow. Ill post up a link when i do

why would you have a guy test the barrel with the same bore size as the stock barrel if he has the aradus the you can set the bore size to the paint so you can make it shoot straighter if you set it the same as the stock size and it is the wrong size it wont shoot any better. I have an aradus and works great they way I set it is just to shoot through each setting and watch the grouping and leave it on that setting. One thing I noticed with my aradus is that I can shoot crap paint with it, it wont fly that straight but at least I can get the ball out of the barrel with out it breaking (yet to break a ball) but with good paint it is dead on. The boar size wont make a ball round.

thanks for the help guys, those of you who already have the aradus, what paint do you recommend? i know its supposed to work well with every type of paint(thats the whole point of an adjustable barrel.) but is there any paint you have found that works exceptionally well??
Thanks

sorry im out of air, and i cant drive to its kinda hard to get a fill. But Psycho Ballistics contucted a test. go to www.psychoballistics.com then to the Aradus part. Then there is a black bar up at the top where you can choose Velocity test, Accuracy test, and Accuracy pics.

Im interested to see how your test turns out mike, cuz i conducted my own test using diablo midnight paint. I had my gun clamped down and was shooting at a target around 30 yards(90 feet) away. The best grouping i had had about a 12-13 in diameter, this was using the .676 size. I shot just as good a group with my stock e-99 barrel. I found this odd because they are not even close to the same size. I belive the stock e-99 barrel is about a .688 possibly even a .692. My conclusion so far is that i can shoot just as good a group with my stock barrel as with the aradus using diablo midnight, which is the paint that i most often use.
