My son's BD is coming on fast and he is showing interest in a paintball marker. He is talking about either the Bruizer Badit or the Spyder SE. From reading if I understand corretly are most parts from these two markers interchangable? I would hate to purchase a marker and then find out parts are hard to find. I would really be grateful for some input as I have no clue on this purchase. My head is swelling from reading and looking at paintball websites.

If you want a better deal, get the bandit. Bruizers have never failed me on the field and they are easy to keep in working order. Spyders are a bit more fickle about when they want to work 100% correctly (but then again, so are autocockers and that's mostly what I use, although I do have expierence with just about every gun on the market) The main difference in choice is that the Spyder is going to be alot easier to find upgrades and whatnot. Besides, the SE and Bandit have BASICALLY everything a kid should need to play. He probably be upgrading the marker until long after he's gotten the hang of the game. IE Taco Bell commercial "Please try it before you mess with it". The one thing I would check into, emailing Nu-Line might help, is asking what parts are on the Bandit are compatible with what parts on other easily found guns.

most entry leevl guns are set up the same, as most are double stacked blow back with trigger hitting striker, releasing bolt. the only differnce is the ability to find upgrades, and that is where spyders win out

they are both god but theya are also both side cocking, whicg wiill allow more dirt into the gun and is hard to field stripp, u could get a spyder xtra for about the same price, it has verticle, the current craze and is anodized nicely, and is rear cocking. it would be the best bet.

I have tried to go to http://www.bruizer.com and I get a message, ENTER NETWORK PASSWORD. Can't seem to get to the site. I found over at Paintball Command the Bruizer Bandit with Vulcan goggles, 9oz Co2, VL 200 hopper, barrel plug for 209.95. I would like to stay under 300.00 for a package kit to get started with. From reading it seems more people lean towards the Spyders and it appears parts are easy to find. Another sport to get into, currently he races BMX and we have mega dollars in the bikes. But looking for some fun during the down time on weekdays and Sundays. Visit our website http://www.teamajo.com

go to http://www.shop4paintball.com.
there you can get thextra for 170, a squeegee-pull thru with swab for 5, a hopper for 5, and itcomes with a barrel plug and elbow. you then get a jt nvader mask or get a v force (20 dollar one). no you have spent about 200. get a co2 tank. you will not need anything else. the barrel on this competes with my 100 barrel (boomstick). your son will luv ya!

The Spyder Extra is a really good stock gun for the price. I'd recommend it over the two you've mentioned above.

i agree. The Xtra has vertical feed, nice paint job (i think the SE is UGLY), nice rear cocking bolt, and a nice drop forward.

For those who have posted THANK YOU. I think my son will be getting the Spyder Extra on his birthday. Having a forum such as this helps in asking questions when I have no clue as what equipment to start out with. Like anything else you can spend a great deal of money, were just wanting to get started and I am sure once were hooked then we will learn what works and what does not. For years I had heard about paintball but never paid much attention. Thanks, http://www.teamajo.com

My friend has an SE and it truly disgsts me. I feel he will be much ghappier with a Pirhana. They have smooth triggers, made in US of A, and are, well... good

You may want to check out a PMI Piranha, Its a great gun.
These guys are right the Xtra is an awesome gun. I would definetly ask your son what he thinks about it. If not then go with the SE or a TL Plus. Great guns and don't listen spyders are reliable if taken care of. Mines never been"fickle"

Thanks again for all the help. I purchased a Spyder Extra, 20oz. Co2, JT Elite nVader Thermal, VL-200, Jerk Squeegie today. Had to make a decision as my son's birthday is a week away. After reading the reviews on aftermarket barrels the 32 Degrees Terminator barrel is what I think I will purchase for the marker. http://www.teamajo.com

I have a suggestion on the barrel. I would rather get a Lapco Bigshot, a J&J ceramics, or a Custom Products Barell. I think these 3 barrels are better than the Terminator Barrel. All of these 3 barrels run from $40-$50 and are comparable to the high priced barrels on the market.
