I need to buy one tonight. Either the AA Vigilante ($60) or the PMI Perfect Reg ($42). I'm going LP, and I really need some help. Please?!?!?!? Thanks!

Edit:

This reg will go on a Piranha G2 STS which uses nitro, but will maybe occasionally have CO2 (if I run out of nitro).

I really can't afford the Vigilante right now. Are there any serious probs w/ a PMI Perfect? I don't plan on putting a gauge on it.

Get a Palmer stabilizer (male version) regulator. Screws into standard ASA attachments. Use as primary regulator for Co2 use or as a secondary regulator for HPA. Adjustable output pressure. I think its the best reg for Co2

How much it it? I only have about $45-$50.

The Palmer Stabilizer Reg is 89.50. If you want it nickel plated its 99.50

Ouch. Can't do that, but what about the PMI Perfect?

Do you mean the PMI Pure Energy Regulator?? If you are here are some features about It.The Pure Energy Regulator is a second stage regulator. You can optimize the Pure Energy Regulator for input pressures in the 800 to 1200 psi range, and the Pure Energy Regulator’s adjustment allows the delivery pressure to the gun to be adjusted anywhere in the 200 to 800 psi range. Its a good all around regulator for the price. I also have a Piranha STS but mines a g3. I have a Palmer Stabilizer Reg (male version) and it works great.

Thanks, but I now have a concern: will it be too short? Do you happen to know how tall it is? My hands are pretty large, and on my grip, I use 3.5" of it. Will the PMI Pure Energy be tall enough? What about the Vigilante?

Im not very sure about the legnths on the PMI reg. The Vigilante reg is a really good to. Just read the reviews.

I did. The Pure Energy gets 0.2 better, but I see the name Vigilante more in LP guides. I guess it'll boil down to size. Can someone w/ either of these measure the length from the bottom to the top (not counting threads)? Please??

Thanks for listening and helping Saiyan_warrior. I think I just talked myself into the Vigilante. More people in the pic threads have them, and they all seem to be happy.

Electro and Blow Back.

I wouldnt even compare a vigi to a PMI. They vigilante is far more consistent, and has a substantially higher flow than the PMI. Reviews should always be taken with a grain of salt anyhow, I've seen blowbacks get higher average review scores than electros and cockers, so consider that. The honest truth is that the vigi is far better if you can afford it.

And yes, it will run CO2 in a pinch, I've done it myselph (no anti syphon even), so I'd reccomend it for sure. Just get an antisyphon anyhow though, My gun got damn cold real fast

Thanks, I bought the Vigi. I just hope it is long enough. On a side note, is all macroline the same? I just bought the macroline kit from iisports (they call it the powerline). Is this the same as all the others? It was much cheaper and came w/ 2 90* fittings.

Should be the same, as long as they didnt give you micro. And the vigi makes a really nice foregrip IMO

Alright, you have set my mind at ease. The Vigi and macroline should get here Thursday, I'll post back here my thoughts on the equipment.
