My dad wants to get into paintball...but he has a bad leg and cant run around too much. What would be a good semi gun for sniper somewhere around $100-220

I would try using a spyder of somekind, semi is great to have but some of the pumps have great (sometimes better!) accuracy. I would just get a spyder compact, piranha or something and fix it up real nice, oh also you prolly already knew this but the barrel has alot to do w\ the accuracy of a gun and its loudness. Get a longer barrel, it'll shoot shorter but quieter and more accurate i recommend a 16" or 18" barrel, 14" is good for normal guns.
Thanks,

A Spyder 2000 or a Pirahna G2 with a J&J Ceramic barrel would do your Dad really well...
Also look at the Rebels and those other Spyder Clones...

Allright :)
Thanks for the input.
Are ceramic barrels really all that different?

Nope - they are made of aluminum with a ceramic/teflon coating that make them slick. They are decent and not spendy. Perfect barrel for a Spyder methinks.

If you are willing to send a little more I would reccomend the Tippman custom 98. Then buy an flatline barrel. That is one of the best sniper setups right now.

A longer barrel will make no (and I mean no, not even a thousanth of an inch) difference in accuracy. They've done scientific tests on this. Same deal with rifling, no accuracy increase

JIVEN, do you play in woods or large area? If you do, get your dad a Phantom pump gun, it shoots slow, but dead on accuracy, ultimate sniper gun

We play in the woods, but He wants a semi auto. I think a spyder with some modifications would be good enough for him.... He doesnt want to be too serious.
