View Full Version : Two Questions
OK first off, i was shooting yesterday and for some reason every third or fourth shot just shot air, no ball. And then my gun burped, but i had just got my gun filled the day before, so i just tightened it up and it worked fine, could this be why it was shooting air??
Second, i am using a stock 9 in barrel and i seriously want a new one, im thinking about a 14in barrel, i have a spyder clone, so anything with Spyder threads. So currently i am looking at some CP's, what are some suggestoins, i live in canada and ive got about 100 to spend, so in american so thats about 60$ to spend i think, Suggestions PLEASE!

HAHAHHAHA ur gun burped?! that sounds so funny, but i know what ur talking about... If you skip shooting a ball... Then you were probably shooting to fast, or it got jammed in ur elbow/hopper.. If u ran outa c02 that fast, ur gun or tank might be leaking... If u left ur tank in overnite and it leaked all out, thats what happened to me once... Uhh yeh hopes this solvesur problem

You can get a Smart Parts Tear Drop for about $50 American. A Custom Products one piece is about the same price. Both are excellent barrels, bit you'll have to shoot a good medium bore paint, like PMI, Diablo Blaze, or Team Colors.
IF at all possible, I'd hold out for a Smart Parts Freeak Junior, which comes with three or four inserts and expands what paint you can shoot. I think they're about $120 American.
You can check them out at www.paintballgear.com. and www.smartparts.com

If you don't have an agitated hopper, you're getting neck jams. Buy a revvy. Or a Halo, but if you buy a Halo, you MUST send it to me for proper modifications, which may take as long as I play paintball. Please include $49.95 for shipping and handling.
Ya ive only got a semi auto, and it was shooting blanks every like 3 shot, and i wasent shooting very fast, ok ya thanks on the barrel tips! ok and another question, before i was shooting Blaze balls, dead accurate, than i bought some other ones and they are going all over the place! when i drop a ball down the barrel it goes right threw? is this why they are going all over the place?
Ok well ive been thinking, if i got a electronic hopper would i be able to shoot as fast as i want??The guy i bought it from said i could shoot balls as fast i could pull the trigger? is this true? also i wouldnt need a great one would i cause i only have a semi, also id want one thats good on batteries! any suggestions there, nothing expensive

The guy from the shop is right. HOWEVER, it also sounds like you need a new ball detent. This would definatly stop the multiple feeding/balls rolling out the barrel. Electronic hoppers are worth EVERY penny. Get a 12 Volt Revvy, that's perfect for you. It is possible to outshoot a 9V, but no one uses 9V anymore anyway. A 12V with X-board can be had for about $50. The batteries last for a good long time as long as you don't leave it on after the game.
Finally, I will say that if you ever DO get a different trigger frame, and start shooting faster, then you'll DEFINATLY want the 12V.
These days, a 12V or a HALO is the way to go. Most people don't shoot fast enough to warrent a HALO, so a 12V is fine. Mine keeps me fed at 12 BPS.
If you wanted something a bit more efficient, and a bit more money, you could go with the Ricochet. Your freinds will hate it though, as it's deflection engineered to promote bounces.
In conclusion, the 12V is what you want, and pretty much everyone else will agree with me.
The HALO, btw, has a tendancy to force feed balls past the ball detents in blowbacks, so you can get multiple feeds with a HALO.
