I'm kinda new to the sport, and I'd really like to know know how a paintball gun works. I already know the basics, but I want the details. If any of you could hook me up with a link to a web site or something that would explain the workings of all the parts of a marker, (if it included pumps, semis, electros, and/or pneumatics then that's even better) I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Uh, what kind of markers? Closed bolts, blow-backs, pumps?

Cockers? Mags? Which Electros?

Work with us man...

I'm looking for anything and everything. Literally. If you've heard of a site that gives good info on any of the types of guns I originally listed (electros, pumps, semis, cocker-type (pnuematics)), I want to see it. I'm want to learn it all.

go to http://www.wgp.com. it is the site for the autocoker. look on front page and clcik view animation or something. it shows how it works. yellow is parts that have no gas in them and blue are pasrt that have gas i the presently. reply back with any questions cuz its one of the weirdest setups, not to many closed bolts and it goes kinda fast. just look at the trigger and when you understand that, move one to next part and so on

Spyders are easy

Pull trigger, releases sear holding hammer back in place. Hammer is pushed forward by the mainspring. The hammer is attached to the bolt, moving the bolt forward as well. about the time the bolt seals off the feed tube, the hammer hits a poppet valve, forcing it open. Gas then rushes through this open valve doing 2 things. Releasing gas through the bolt and propelling the ball, and releasing gas on the hammer, pushing it backwards, to a place where it will catch on the sear, and lock until you pull the trigger again. Adjusting the main spring will affect how hard the hammer hits the valve, and how much the valve is opened. More open = more gas which in turn = more velocity
