What determines a person's status "newbie, amateur, novice, etc, etc?"

Number of posts

I know some people dont like the idea but its just for fun

1-100 newbie
100-300 novice
300-600 amatuer
600-1000 pro
1000+ paintball god

Aw man, i gotta make 60 more posts until i get this crap "newbie" status to change to amateur. I thought itd be like 60 for the transition. This should be part of the member profile. I dont want to be labeled a newbie (not that theres anything wrong with that), but it misinforms others of your knowledge.

I disagree. I have newbie under my name and I don't think there's anyone on here that will question my knowledge or experience. I chose my replies carefully to insure accuracy.

Actually I think it is a great idea! Lets me know how verbose I am becoming!

IMHO you should be able to chose your TRUE level of knowledge, whether that's newbie or god. The number of posts determining it is good but some of us got the knowledge, but not the time.
