Hello everyone , I am a "NEWB" , and this is my first post. I have a question about CMI Tru-Flight barrels. When I look at the reviews on the barrel review page for this barrel , most people give this barrel atleast a bout a 9.5 , and many give it a 10. On the other hand , when I did a search for tru-flight on this forum most of the opinions were negative. Which should I believe the review page or the forum?

Trust me from my own experience. Those barrels are very poor quality. My friend had one on his spyder and every other shot was a break. I've been through the same thing you're going through. You try and find the cheapest new barrel right;) Well, if you're on a budget, go with Custom Products barrels or a Lapco Bigshot. both are great.

I bought one of these barrels before I knew any better and I would have to agree with Irom. Though I don't think barrels cause ball breaks, they aren't that great of a barrel. The rifling get dirty and the muzzle break (or whatever those slots on the end are) catch your squeggie and rag and are a paint to clean. I ended up polishing the rifling out (because it doesn't really do anything) and cutting off the end. Its not a bad barrel now. You yeah there threads aren't the best either, but after a few times on and off thats fine.

Any other opinions? Not that it matters , I ordered the thing before I ever started this thread. Some of the reviews said that its not a very good barrel until you polish the inside , but once you do that you have a pretty accurate barrel.
