at the end of this summer i will have earned enough for a nice setup... about 1200 dollars. the problem is i dont know very much about what i need. i usually play recball and outlaw ball in the woods. i guess i want something quiet, efficient, and i can take care of easily. i've tried all the guns and im partial to the electro's and the cocker trigger. i just need help deciding what would fit into what i need.

Why not get a good electro, hardly any maintenance at all

An electro for woodsball? Seems a bit much, don't you think?

Blazer would work great. Small, light, quiet, runs equally well on CO2 or HPA. Expect to pay around $800 fully set-up (ported barrel, trigger job, stab).

Oh, and as to dependability, anything Palmer builds is like a tank.

You could always get a nice HyperMag setup. Or a matrix.

A couple of drops of oil in the ASA about once a case. Try to keep dirt and sand out of it. :D "Flush" it by running water through the pneumatics occasionally (I flush mine maybe twice a year), and that's it.

Set it, and forget it.

Electros are generally better for tournys, a stock cocker should be good for you.
