Impulses are great. If you have turbo on and start firing fast the gun starts shooting full auto (sort of). If you want to know why it's not really f/a or want to know exactly what it is, I think http://www.warpig.com may have more info.

Also how is the accuracy on them?
Near Perfect, needs A LOT of help with the feel, Slap on a DF and the Gadget Grip and youre Rollin'
Any suggestions on what kind to get?
If you have the money get the Vision eye, if you dont upgrade it later. If you are looking toward tourneys you are not allowed to have a gun with select fire, even if it does have tourney locks.
I am thinking of getting a bushmaster if i can find one used or something like that, but i really want a impulse.\
I was going through something similar to that before I got my Impy. I shot one at the field (Bushy) and the trigger was a little funky. I dont think it performs as good as an Impulse.

If I were in your shoes I would get the impulse if I was going to run co2 or I wasnt going to upgrade my gun alot. Otherwise i would get a bushmaster. If you were to get a vision impulse you would be able to get a bushmaster with a chaos eye which would $150 less. Plus it has the ability to shoot faster even though you wont be able to outshoot the impulse rof cap. The dv8 has loads of stuff and gives you all the gizmos on the angel for only $200 plus the $450 for your bushy.
The impulse isnt going to out perform the bushy but they are both good guns.

I tend to disagree
http://www.paintballstar.com has reviews of both and the Impulse DID out perform the Bushy.

I dont see where it out performed the bushy. The bushmaster was more consistant acording to them, it was easier to snap shoot with the bushy and the accuracy was pretty much the same. Therre was also alot of factors that they didnt didnt "factor" in. The said nothing about a paint match, they had different barrels. unless someone did some tests with the same regulator, same tank, same barrel and a good paint match with paint from the same case in the same temp area you cant tell too much about it.

I like the feel of the bushey better. The impulses only drawback IMO (which in some people's opinion is a benfit) is that it has no Low Pressure regulator. While this does mean that there is less to go wrong, it also means that the bolt is driven by 180 pounds of pressure, over the lower pressure favored by guns with LPRs. All this does is give the gun a "less smooth" feel when firing. It wont make the gun kick much more, and it wont drop your accuracy at all, but I dont like being able to feel the hammer hit the valve when I fire :) Not to say it's a bad gun though, I think they're awesome, and like I said, no LPR also means less to get fuched up, maybe you'll like that. For nitro I still prefer the bushy

I agree,
If you have acces to Nitro get a bushy or something like that.
If you dont get an Impulse.
I did not feel like spending $150 for 1200 shots when I could get a 20 OZ tank for $120 less that would get me as many.

i dont know why but i really dont like the bushy. the trigger is just too soft for me. as for the impulse i suggest that and if u do get onr a blade trigger is really nice. takes out all the slack.
