???cocker or shocker???

this is the only forum where i wont get a biased response(hopefully) which gun would u rather have an sto or a 2k2 vert shocker 4x4. both would have a maxflow tank and a full freak kit i want to kno which u guys would rather have and y

Well, While I don't know a whole lot about the shocker, but from what I do know, They are pritty evenly matched, Altough I don't like its appearence (not important to is preformance) If it were me, I'd go autococker, I think cockers are easier to upgrade, and its a gas hog, heavy, and stock barrel is long 16"... But its just me

first thanx 4 the link it is helpful second its not that heavy i held one today with a big tank and freak it was kinda light second id b gettin a 88/45 so id get a fair ammount of shots on it. so that solves them probs

Shocker all the way, yes you can upgrade any cocker with stock to after market, or turn it into a free flow but it will still have the soul of an STO... Anyways I know of a friend that has a 01 VFeed Free Flow cocker, he said he is going to switch back to a shocker... Just to let you know what other people are doing...

gotta say shocker on this one. it just comes down to plain volume, a shocker can put out more bps without a break.

Shockers can be timed. It's just easier and harder to mess up.

i think that its all a matter of self preference and you have to shoot and know both guns to really have any idea whats goin on.. i personally like the cocker for its snappy trigger and its weight... shockers are heavy as hell but for a reason, for back players... and obviously you're going to be able to out shoot a cocker w/ a shocker but you dont have the agility.. like i said you should shoot the guns(both) first before because thats quite a bit of money to spend on a gun your going to sell for 1/2 price the next week...

Pros: can upgrade the crap out of them, everyone has them
cons:heavy, ugly, pain in the butt to up keep, you have to shell out an extra 100 bucks to put a hinge frame on it then $45 to put a good short 3way on it to make the trigger bearable

Shocker
Pros: electronic, can pump out some major bps without much effort, comes stock with a maxflo, works great on co2, can have an air assist put on (which really helps)
Cons:big, heavy, ugly, stock barrel is 16", Gas hog

for this id have to vote for a shocker, but theres plenty of other electros that perform alot better than shockers (ie. bushys, impys etc..) and dont let anyone fool you into thinking that closed bolt is more accurate..warpig did an independent test and they found out its not anymore accurate than open bolt, plus in rapid fire closed bolt and open bolt are pretty much the same

but this is your money, you try both guns out and see which one YOU like

the thing is i dont mind bout the gas hog im a front player iv seen a few front players with shockers and i wanna b another one to make a stand that u dont need a compact gun to b a front player , but on the other hand cockers r really nice 4 every position but imo so r shockers i guess its all preference but im loving ur opinions and plz keep em comming. btw stop saying cockers look ugly and shockers look ugly the new 2k2 shockers look pretty darn sweet imo and so do most cockers

my shoker is lighter than my friends Genx cocker when both are gassed up and with paint and everything. shockers arent that heavy, and i never notice how heavy a marker is on the field. on a side note, shockers kick less than cockers cuz the bolt movment is internal. and you can get hit in the face with your back block with a shocker! :laugh:

Whoever thinks a shocker is heavy, Why don't you pick one up before you judge by it's size. My cocker is about 2 pounds+ heavier than my friend's shocker. Go for the shocker. Fast, light and easy to maintain. They are a little bulky, but it's mostly hollow (I think) and is made out of super light weight metal. The cocker is heavier, slower, a ***** to keep timed, and a ***** to clean if hit in the pnues...

dont get a cocker, TRUST ME...

do you want to be like every single god damn paintball you see at the field with a cocker? i sure as hell wouldnt. the shocker doesnt really need ANY upgrades. you could also get an impy too. but anyway. the shocker is VERY GOOD GUN STOCK. thers not much you need to do to it. the trigger is adjutable in tension, pre-pull, post pull and engagement point. for free. for a cocker you have to dish out lots of money for that hinge. shockers are also INCREDIBLY well balanced with a tank and hopper on. and for those of you who say its big and ugly, your dumb noobs who have probably never seen one or held one. and you have no grounds on which to dis the performance, so you have to dis the looks. and you dont even know what it looks like. the shocker doesnt need a new barrel either, it comes with a smart parts AA. the cocker has a crappy stock POS. you never have to worry about the shocker breaking down. incredibly easy to maintain. YOU JUST CANT SCREW THIS THING UP....its foolproof. GET A SHOCKER. AND THATS THE BOTTOMLINE. just ask dassie or killer and youll see why they have plenty of shockers themselves. SHOCKER.
