The impy really has no kick back that should affect your performance. Now ive never heard of anything the guy at your field said but i wouldnt doubt it to be possible.

The trick is to take out your aluminum stock bolt and replace it with delrin instead...
only thing ive heard about a spring is to stretch it about half a inch longer but that just stops the bolt stick

I personaly like just a little kick becuase it helps me pull the trigger a little faster during a game. I dont really notice alot of kick anyways.

the guy at your field has absolutly no idea what hes talking about. There is no spring in the impy that pushes the hammer back.
and stretching your valve spring out does nothing for bolt stick.
just get a delrin bolt like Schwartz said.

Geez... it's not like we're dealing with .44 Magnums here. Is the "kick" of an Impulse REALLY that much of a problem?
Twinkie is right... there is no spring to throw the hammer back. The impulse is electronic. Bolt movement is controlled by the solenoid.

When shooting across field, yes. It will throw off your aim a lot more than you think.

delrin bolt and titanium hammer should do the trick? What kind of hammer do you currently have?

Delrin bolt and Ti hammer might be too light. If the bolt/hammer assembly is too light you wont be able to get your velocity up to 280.
I'd say go with an eclipse SS hammer, delrin bolt of your choice and ti pull pin of your choice. Sure, its more money, but if you really want to reduce kick that's the way to do it.
