I'm sure people have griped about this before, but I cant help myself. It all started when me and a few of my friends(my team) went to a new place to play. I will not mention the name. Well anyway, we got there, went in to pay for our paint and field fees. The field fees were freakin $25, marbalizers were $95 for a case, cheap 32 DEGREES was $70. I said to myself WTF!!! We ended up coughing up the money to play, because we wanted to get ready for a tourney that was to be held there in a couple of weeks. We played and had a great time, but I ended up spending about $130 I can see hiking the prices up a little for tourney's, but those prices for every day play is ridicules!!!! There is no wonder our great sport isn't growing any faster than it is! I cant imagine kids getting that much money from their parents every week(I know allot of kids work for their money)... If I had to pay those prices every week I would probably quit paintball! At my home field marbz are $56, Nitroduck is $52, RPS premium's are $54 a case!!!! I know that paintball is a money making business, but jeesh, do they have to be greedy!!! I guess my point is, as long as paintball stays as expensive as it is people will be playing paintball in their backyard, where it can be very unsafe, and shooting BR"***" EAGLE!!! I don't know the exact stats on this, but I will guess that most of the paintball related injuries are directly related to not having adequate safety precautions that a backyard paintball field will not have(in most cases), and this in the end gives paintball a bad name!!!

I agree that the first field you mentioned is way to expensive, but maybe you have been spoiled by the second field which is selling paint a heck of a lot cheaper than in my area?

Right now, there is a newb field that sells rp premium for about $100/case. Most other fields are selling the same for $75-80/case. I work at a field, so I pay significantly less though.

I dont want to sound super cheap, but to me thats rediculous! I, on the other hand am willing to pay expensive prices if at a tournament, but to play every weekend, I think not. No wonder brass eagle exists!! By the way I gave the wrong prices on the marbz they are $58, and rps premiums are $56. I read a brochure from the place I play...

Yeah, I look at those prices and see how lucky I am. I dont think I could play if I had to pay those prices. I love paintball, but when I have to pay $95 to $100 for a case that their paying $40 for. I know some field owner is well, owning me, and I dont like that!!!! I can see making a reasonable profit, but 50 or 60 dollars a case. Thats down right ####y!!!

Sucks worse for me, since I'm Canadian the prices are doubled.
Admission is around $30
Paint is either $10/100 or $160/2000 (case).
Thats not even a rip-off, EVERY field around me (there's about 7) all offer those deals, and if they dont offer the case deal then it's just $10/100. I can only afford to play paintball about once every 2 months because I end up blowing so much money (and I dont have a job).
My local field is pretty kool.
First 10 people to sign up on Wed before 7 get free entry/fills/ and 500 free paintballs.... ther usually 32 degree team colours but thats fine with me.
But on normal days its
2.50 to get in
2.00 a fill
5 $ for 100 paintballs
KEEP IN MIND THESE ARE CANADIAN PRICES TOO.

Man, Playing paintball in canada is even more rediculous than in the states! Rps and Diablo... They are canadian companies are they not??? You would think that paint prices would be lower there...

hey, you yanks are lucky. here in canada it's like 120 a case for paint on rec days here, thats for blaze. if you want nicer paint you have to shell out even more money, and thats on top of large field fees, usually 20 bucks, sometimes more!! feel lucky americans!:D
