I good overall tactic is the leapfrog movement. Make sure that you are covered before you move. In the forest the your movements and camo can work to your advantage. Stay in shadows, move quickly, stay low.

In a dense forest, a good idea is to really just sit around for a few moments in the beginning of the game behind enemy lines so that you can watch for their most used avenues. Ambush tactics, are probably the best way to go in this concidering that it's difficult to actually get caught up in a battle in a dense forest.Find out what avenues (or paths, whatever you'd like to call them)the opposing team tends to use. Then, in small incriments (10 feet at a time) make your way swiftly their if needed. But to get their the safest, you might as well just lay low and slowly make your way to one of the paths. Now, set up on the ground, lying next to the path and facing the way that they will be going. Not comming from. A good idea is to not come face to face when doing this because shots from behind tend to disorient and confuse the opposition. Now lie low as I said before and cover yourself up in some brush or something and wait for the opposition to pass you by about 15 feet or so. Don't be trigger happy, you could very well pay for it shortly thereafter. Now, once they're about 15 feet away, unleash. A barage of paint should do the trick. But don't try and take on a large group, unless you know you have back up on the way within mere moments. This technique is also good for when you'd like to do a mass ambush. And is good when you would like to position yourself behind the enemy so that you and your team can create a crossfire of paint.
::STORY::
Alright, well it was a 10 on 10 in a nicely sized semi-wooded area. I started the game off the bat immediately positioning myself on a slightly higher area of land between two trees and a few shrubs which matched my "ghillie" suit. I waited there for about 10 minutes until they came into view. I was peering through my scope (I don't use the scope to aim, because as I've said before scopes should be used to survey land and enemy movements, not to line up shots and watched them for a good 10 minutes or so creep their way back and forth through this one path a good 200 feet away. Slowly I made my way to the side of that very path (without being seen, though close to it). I layed down on the ground and lined up my 2000 AutoCocker w/ 12" All American Rifled Smart Parts Barrel so that I would have a clear line of sight of the path in its entirety. Within 3 minutes, I had 4 kills(of the team's 10). But I had to move since they eventually figured out where I was hiding and tried to eliminate me. I eventually made my way across the path and to a small clearing where I could pick off any slackers or those who lagged behind. Well goodluck to you, and I hope I was able to help you in some way.
