Anybody have any good mods for the Stingray II Ice? I am definitely going to do a detent ball replacement, and maybe a rearcocker with beavertail and a bottomline, plus a custom grip. Probably going to port or replace my barrel and add ring-pins instead of the regular pins. I may add a stock, but probably not. And I almost definitely will add a red-dot sight. Oh, and I plan to use 9-oz tanks of CO2. Anybody got any other mods I should do? I already know about the S.T.I.N.G. group, so no need pointing that site out.

It came with a 200 rd. hopper, and I plan to get a better barrel. But, thanks for your ideas. I dunno about triggers, maybe a double trigger mod.

if you go to pbnation they have some crazy custom ray jobs. also you should consider getting an adapter to run your air out of the grip frame instead of the back of the gun.

A friend of mine bought a Stingray for his son. He added a bottom line, expansion chamber, new bolt and a new barrel. It made it look and shoot a lot better.

On Xpaintball.com there are barrels for stingrays at some decent prices. like a 14" barrel for $20.

You talking about something like the vertical adapter on the farthest to the left ray in the picture at the bottom of this post? And definately do a trigger job. They're much easier than they look. The trigger pull on the silver and clear rays at the bottom is about 1/10 of an inch.

foregrip. any grip that will fit on a mag would be easy to mount on a ray.

Why don't you actually try making custom internals. Inside the stingray there is a shelf, that would be great to place a spring and piece of music wire in. The music wire would act as a backstop for your trigger and you could use a pen spring, and not have that insanely stiff Ray trigger anymore. You'd have to find some way to make a part of the trigger reach out that far, and still be rigid. Just a little brainstorm for people who want a Ray that can shoot as fast as any Spyder out there.
