Am i the only one that has noticed that everyone wants to be the "Look at me i got you with one shot from far away OooOOO I'm 1337" , They all want to be "snipers". I don't want to be a sniper, i wanna be the dood that runs in outta no where, lays down a **** load of paint, and take a few of the guys with me. I wanna be the kamakazee!!! and i think i am a preety good one. Anyone else like playing like this?

Well, heres what you do to those snipers, run like wildman towards them in various directions, Ya know to keep them from hitting you and all the time unloading paint straight at them... OR! take a grenade (paint of corse) and throw it at them. Running at them works real well if they have the Flatline barrel, Cus they'll most likely try to unload paint on ya, if this happens, anyone who knows anything knows you'll have the biggest paint mess inside that barrel if you try to rapid fire.

Lol thats the best "OR! TYake a grenade (paint of course)" LOL i wouldn't mind blowing some of them up hehe. But You understand what i mean? Its not usually newbies either, sometimes they are good players that are diserving of respect I just personally don't like those playing tactics.

Heres anotherone for ya,
I have found the best way to keep somone out of a place you don't want them to go is to throw down some tacks and Nails before the game starts...
Now being serious, I understand the frustration... The best way to twart a sniper is to expose as little of yourself as possible, and to always out as many objects in between you and him. Also, keep moving, If that sniper is 30-40 yards out, its hard to hit a barn (being sarcastic). and if you move then its even harder Not to mention the trees and bunkers getting in the way. see my point? Also taking them out first is the best way to keep them off your back...

Yeah....I went kamakaze (sp?) style once. It wasn't a good idea. It this crappy kid and I. I knew we were done for so I ran down the hill and shot at two bunkers at once. There was a guy in front of me and a guy to my right. Then I got shot right in the rear and in the hip by my own guy. Then I got shot another 7 or 8 times by the two guy I ran down the hill to get. All in total I got shot 10 times or so. It was a nice experience to say the least.

Well the people i play with are afraid of my kamikzee(i'm gonna spell it a new way every time!!) tactics hehe. I can't really do it in woods so i adopt more of a front player tactcs there.

If your gonna play kamikzee, then you need a plane and a ww2 Carrier to fly it into, But sence this is Paintball I suggest you play Paintball.
Overshooting the Skirmish line in paintball is never a good idea, I did it once and it took me only once to learn to stay on or behind that line...

I do it wisely so its all good hehe. I am good enough (in my and other peoples opinions) to pull it off alot of the time hehe.

Well, I guess I am thinking of this differently then you, How do you do it?

Assuming sniper doesn't have a flatline, or if he does, that you can at least get close to him with your shots, what you do is lay steady fire to him and slowly advance between barriers, most snipers are very scared of fire and will shrink into their bunker when they get shots plinging at them, as long as he doesn't have friends and you have paint, rattle off a few every so often until you can get close, then cut right or left hard and lay down paint.
A think my friend i and i did, was my friend distracted by letting his arm hang out, then pull it in after he hears shots so i could cut wide right, then he popped out and unloaded crazy(so the sniper thought both of us where shooting at him) then i ran behind him peppering shots, he was so twisted and concorted to get his "perfect shots" at us so he was barely expose that he couldn't even change positions of this gun to fire at me.

First i wait for them to either slow down their fire, or reload with pods. I charge full throtle for a bunker that has cover good enough to keep me safe for a time. Take as many out on my waytheir and while the other team is distracted by me my other teamates move in and we all take them out. I call it kamikazee because when i fail it isn't preety but i usually take a guy with me.
these tactics only work on bad snipers. i prefer to call myself an ambusher, not a sniper, most of my shots are within 10 feet, and they never see me.
I think snipers in a form is cowardly, you see them they don't see you. You don't have to worry about being shot at so much which sucks! Frontline for me, rounds back and forth, people yelling "hit!", that the stuff for me:P

Its not that i don't like snipers. Its that i don't want to be one. Everyone claims they are one, i just like claiming i'm not. This thread is just so we "The Non-Sniper" May unite :D

Well, I carry a Palmers, so I regularly take guys out at 30-40+ yards, without trying to snipe. It just happens that way. :D But I welcome you to try the kamikaze approach. You'll still get laid out. ;)

I have no patience for snipers (what they call themselves), Campers (what I call them). I don't enjoy having to crawl around for 45 minutes to get into a 2 minute shootout. I'll try to bunker someone from 20 yards away if they insist on camping. I'd rather be taken out trying something crazy then wasting a hopper of paint on some idiot who insists on crawling into some thick underbrush.
Last weekend I was playing on a small woods field, it was 6 on 7. Well my team takes out three and then clears the rest of the field. There were 4 people in the very back of the field in some very thick brush. Well after about 20 minutes of trying to hit these guys through the brush, I take a suicide run through it, I hit one guy on the gun (which wasn't a elimination, which i hate that too) but I get about 10 hits all over. I have to guess that there was at least a case of paint wasted trying to clear the 4 people out of the brush. Which is pretty stupid in my opinion, next time I'll just call myself out and save the paint.

I my self am an ambusher, so I am usually not I danger of the boomsticks and flatlines, but just a tidbit for you, most people are right handed, and so if you are dead in front and break hard to you right (sniper's left) he (or at least I) will have a harder time tracking and placing my shots in front of you where as the turn to my (the snipers) right just seems so much more natural.

I am a sniper. When I make enough money this summer(I got a part-time job as a pickle slicer), I'm gonna buy a tipman 98 and a flatline barrel. I already have a ghilie suit that I made out of fish net & fake leaves I took off an old fake plant. Then I'm gonna sit down & pick off all those newbies & tournament wannabes with their angls, autocockers, and electronic spyders!!!
I will be the uber-sniper! :pissed:

I consider myself support, when there is need for lots of paint in the air, i am there. If you need someone to shoot over your head as you charge and not hit you a lot but make sure the other guys ain't shooting at you, that's me. It hurts the old wallet, but i feel a lot better as a team player then rushing straight forward and getting lots of hits for me, but forsaking the team because of no uniform plan.

This thread is why I love this game so much. Because there's different ways to play the game, and all sorts of different strategies! 133+, we need crazy guys like you charging and creating havoc, and going beserk on the opposite team! It's a rush seeing guys like you charge! And we need the cover guys too...supporting those maniacs that ARE crazy enough to rush. And we DO need GOOD "snipers". They too, CAN strike fear into the opposite team, especially when they have no clue where they got hit from. It isn't "cowardly"...it's just another role a person takes to help the team!
I have equal respect for all the different styles of play, even though I myself take the more "stealthy" approach to my play. We need ya'll! Keep it up ya'll...and don't forget to respect your fellow players! (As long as they're playing fair!)

i play front. sometimes i have to do 1 for 1's to get out a key bunker.
i guess that's what you're talking about...
henry... what do you mean by the skirmish line? the center of the field? i'd suggest moving up as much as possible. if you are at the other teams 40 (past the skirmish) i would say you have a commanding position in the game.
133-you should play that style but try to stay in. be aggressive and move up. but play tight and make calculated moves

I was waiting for your reply i knew it would be good hehe. I agree with you and you impress me preety mcuh every time you post :D.
AND AGAIN THIS NOT A TIME TO FLAME "SNIPERS" ITS A TIME TO DISCUSS ALTERNATE STRATEGIES!!
what real sniper could u charge at? the purpose of a sniper is to not be seen and take shots only when u can. theres this hill we play on, and it used to be people could walk along it only looking to the front, they never looked to the back of the hill (its more like a ridge) well now i just hide in the thickest brush down the hill where they cant see me, and instead of charging down it, they now go very very very slowly, looking everywhere checking for me. it gives my team a huge advantage.

Who is everyone?
And why are so many of these people here (aka everyone) not saying they indeed are snipers?

Well since everybody's telling what they think they are, I'm an Infiltraitor. I sneak up as far as I can and try to get behind the enemy and the get them out at close range. I'm pretty stealthy, especially in urban type environments.
Every time I try to snipe my balls curve left and right and I can't hit anyone. I suck at it so that's why I don't like sniping. ;)

So I take it that 133+ Player won't be buying these any time soon?
I remember those. Any moisture exposure and you might as well throw them away. They are accurate, but no added distance. Might as well just go accuracy by volume, it's easier.
I also remember Maco. The .63 caliber paintballs. Same overall area size of a .68 cal pball, however these were round and long. Like a football. I don't know if they ever went to market. They had advertisements, they were spring fed with clips like the SMG's. Hell, you could even have the SMG converted to accept these.

i need to get villhime98c in here. he is the ultimate vietnam comando...he REALLY gets into the game. camo face paint, BDU's, and this huge camo poncho....when he's in them woods there is only one thing to do....give him a run for his money...
if u find urself in a game where someone has gone out into the woods, do the same, HIDE! stay hidden, do not move, and he'll have to come out of hiding, and when he steps into the clearing what till he is in accurate range, then unleash!

I have no ran across 1 sniper who uses HPA, all you do is figure out where the shot came from and shoot at the cloud of CO2. It's easy enough. In heavily wooded areas it's even easier because all you do is make sure there are bushes and such around you to stop projectile. Due to bounces and thick brush, the only way to tag someone at long range is with volume.

Well if your lense is foged its not that easy!

When i try to do it, being that bold usually does just as good when i don't pull it off. The main reason i do it is to get my people where they can be good.
