OOHHHHHH MMMYYY GOD!!!
D-day was AWESOME!! Now all I do is eat, drink, and sleep D-day! The people were wonderful, The terrain was great, There were cool props set up around the field. Tons of well developed bunkers, craters, exploding bridges, tanks, etc.
Wisconsin Death Trip [WDT] (We got our name from the book not the album by Static-X) had a squad of 9 for our first D-day, One word of advice for Northerners, it is hot in Oklahoma for people like us! We caught some flack for that but my reply was always, "come on up to Wisconsin and play in 10 degree weather without the windchill! anyhoo, We were on the German side in the ss tank division under General Bailey. We were driven in early Saturday morning via sister pig an APC to a radio station that we were supposed to defend against the allied invasion. We held the station for two hours until we were given orders to destroy it from general Bailey. The rest of the day involved clearing tree lines, defending some bridges, and defending fire base Bravo. We were outnumbered 3 to 1 and yet we managed to repel the invasion. Although the allies did take the beaches, and the village of St. Lo. We managed to fight off the 82nd Airborne. I think I am forever spoiled, I can't imagine playing a small game ever again, even though I know I will. The night game was cool, although it was very chaotic, lot's of friendly fire, there was no moon, so the only light we had was coming from the parachute flares. It was very intense. There were lot's of vendors present, including Worr Games. I am certainly going next year and perhaps even to the Bridge too far scenario this fall.

Ah! You make me sooo jealous. I want to play a D-Day game so bad. LOL, hope you had a good time... which it seemed like you did. By the way, do you know anywhere where I can get pictures? Thanks.

I should be posting some in a while. I have a friend that I met down there sending me some, and a couple of my squad members took some pics also. Check the web site they should be posting some 2002 ones soon. And yes I had an excellent time. :) They had six people filming with digicams and they are making a video, Some of my squad should be in it!
