Is there any way to cure striped threads on stuff like the CO2 tank, or the expansion chamber? I managed to strip one of my tanks pretty good the first time I bought a gun (I didn't know any beter). And I'm afraid (against all my efforts to be as careful as possible) that I'm begining to strip my expansion chamber too. Is there a device or something that I could get to fix the threads on my tank? I had to buy a new tank when I got my new gun because it only fits with my first gun.

If the threads on your tank are stripped you are pretty SOL. I reccommend purchasing a new tank. Or if you have an local airsmith, have the valve replaced. But usually it is cheaper just to buy a new tank. You cant really fix the threading on the tank.

What if I(or one of my friends :() have striped my expansion chamber? It still fits with the gun, but I'm affaid that if I have to get a new expansion chamber, it won't fit onto my gun because of the threads.

How did you strip the threads? Basically, you are pretty screwed. you are most likely gonna have to purchase a new expansion chamber. you cant fix threads.

you know what, if it still fits onto your marker, you can try putting a bunch of teflon tape on it and see if that helps you put it on or prevent any leaks....

no harm in trying...

you never answered the question, how the hell did you strip x-chamber threads, what did you keep taking it off?

they make a lead thread that you can wrap around on the strip ones and youu will be fine. but how the heck did you strip it to begin with.

i stick with ii's advice and try to wrap it in teflon tape and see if that works, if it does, then dont touch it, ever
if it doesnt go to an airsmith like he said or just get a new one
