i like to shoot at targets in my backyard, but i have a minor problem. all the targets i construct alow paint and broken shells to shoot right back out after they break. has anyone made a target that retains the "leftovers"?

ok, i havent actually tried this but it just might work. get a big piece of plywood that you would use for the target. then go out and buy a big sheet of styrofoam that is like 1"-2" thick and is the same height and width as the plywood. then just attach the styrofoam to the plywood, lean it up against a tree or something and fire away! the paintballs should go into the styrofoam and not splatter all over the place. the only drawback would be that after a while, the styrofoam would begin to get beat up with all the paintballs hitting it and you would have to buy a new sheet.

Another solution is to angle the target. If the target is slanted toward the ground, when the paint breaks or splatters it will go down and back, instead of all over the place.

ihave a piece of plywood with these metal circles (like ones on a real dartboard) on it. the metal circles cathc the shels in them and the paint drips down

Do you guys have any good ideas for brigades and bases for our paintball games in our backyard ?

make an enclosed target out of plywood like oyu owuld for pellet guns or something like that make it about 12" dep thought

Simple shoot into a boxed shape crate or a box with plyboard inside of it.

use a shoe box, and fire away, use the top of the box for the bottom.
