Advanages:
Barrery saver actuly works (turns off after 20 min)
Low Battery indicator actuly works
Calibraded Dwell settings (If I go to max dwell then back off 4 clicks, I will get the same "dwell" on a different gun at max - 4)
Cool blue light
Chirps to tell you about things (low batt, max dwell, min dwell ect)
Much better On/Off switch
Disadvanges:
Less Dwell range (you can't go down to the realy low pressures by making the dwell realy long -- and eating a lot of gas)
Will not work with some after market grip frames (line the I-frame) although you can Modify it to work. NOTE NEW I-frames will be out in a few weeks that DO work with the new board.
Blue light flashes at you
Hope this helps

you can't use VFF/HFV/AFF on a new imp.

voodoo full flow....high flow vert, angled full flow(i think)....all optimizers that increase performance and get rid of bolt stick...the new impulses around like 10000 i think don't have the predrilled air hole...so you can't use them....they work the best...but are more expensive...

yeah, you've got the names right, sorry, i should have written them out properly. they aren't the best though, the best is an LPR (low pressure regulator)
its not a big deal that you cant use them, its just that if you want a solenoid optimiser you have to either choose a tapeworm/eclipse aggressor (bottom of the range) or go straight to the top of the range with an LPR

i think it is from about 12000 upwards, as mine (see sig) doesn't have the blue light, it has a green/orange one

The new boards have nothing to do with being able to use the VFF. Imps #12500+ cant have the VFF because SP stoped drilling the air holes for them. Impulses #12500 to #13000 cant have the VFF and they dont have the new 2k2 boards, but my Imp(#13137) does have the 2k2 board.
If you think about it, the 500 Imps (#'s12500-13000) with the old boards are sort of rare.

Imps that are 11,000+ don't have the air hole drilled...at least that's what the Imp FAQ says. I trust in WOlvy
