I just bought a spyder xtra package and it comes with a buncha stuff...my only worry is the 12 oz CO2 tank, is it really small and uncomfortable and does it last long? and is it worth it to buy a new 20 oz tank?
thanks

12 oz, should last you 5 or 600. 20 oz is not needed, but if you want it you could get it. 12oz isn't really that small.

i never heard of a better deal before...
it makes it sound like he stole it or something, but oh well, at least you will buy it fair and square :)
12oz is all right, i like 20 cuz it made my shutter last all day (it lasts about 3/4 case)

paintballmaster

a 20 oz would be better cuz it will last a long time but a 12 will last for a pretty long time

If I were you, I would go with a 16(sixteen) ounce tank. I have one on my Tippmann 98 Custom, and It's nice. And with a drop-forward, it ways more like a 4(four)oz.

braiden1835

16 oz stub or regular?

EvilAngel2001

Mine's a stub, and it's comfy.

I would say it depends if the field you play at has CO2 fills. For myself I ususally go through 1/2 - 3/4 of a case when I play. so i need a 20 oz. But if your field refills a smaller tank is fine as well.

Hi I have a 20oz tank and i love it, if you think that it is to heavy for you then I guess you need to start bench pressing because 20oz's aren't that heavy, With these you have a ton of shots out of your gun, (unless you have a Raptor, mine got about 300 shots out of a 12 and 500 from my 20 god my Raptor sucked

In your signature, you said that you were gonna get a 20" barrel!!! What the hell are you thinking!?! There's no point to a 20" barrel. It'll only lag the ball and cut off from your distance, greatly I might add. Don't bother wasting your money on a 20" barrel that is just gonna get in the way. Get a 12" or maybe even a 14" dude. But not a 20"! I'm sure alot of people will agree with me.

braiden1835
06-11-2001, 11:20 AM
yes i do even an 18" is too big...and half the time a 16" is too big(unless you like sniping which is Ga-y in most games)

Hey, I realize that 20" is way to big for a GAME but I am going to practice in my woods and that will hopefully give me more range of motion in an actual game. I think I am going to get a nice 14" barrel.

EvilAngel2001
06-11-2001, 12:11 PM
Yet again, what the hell are you thinking? Range of motion? What the hell do you mean by that dude!?! There is no point on wasting all that money on a barrel that's damn near worthless. I don't know, but even if you were thinking about sniping with that barrel you'd be crazy. I am a sniper, I use a 14" barrel. The 14" is the best cross between range and accuracy if you want to snipe. A 20", that is the best cross between stupidity and a waste.

The barrel came with part of a package. I didn't chose to buy it, I just thought i would try something new, so lay off alright and worry about your own barrel.

EvilAngel2001
06-11-2001, 12:41 PM
You're funny. I have never heard of a package with a 20" barrel. I smell either a liar or a really pathetic newbie.

braiden1835
06-11-2001, 12:56 PM
haha

EvilAngel2001
06-11-2001, 01:01 PM
LoL! Try something new? What are you planning? To shoot trash cans from 8 feet away. I know, that's an exageration and all, but dear god child! Do you have any idea what kind of lag that ball is gonna have after passing through 20" of barrel? Your range is going to be very, VERY weak. Well, hope ya have fun shooting trashcans.

bigmax2005
06-11-2001, 01:35 PM
It was not a normal package, it was a custom package. Why do you care about my mistakes though, it is my fault for buying the package, is it your barrel?... NO. So why do you care so much.

EvilAngel2001
06-11-2001, 01:38 PM
Thought you'd never ask about why I care! I care because I'm tired of seeing stupid people in the game of paintball. And tired of taking out the pathetic guy behind the bunker who's quivering with fear as his 20" can be seen from 100 feet away or so. I'm waiting for a challenging player, not one who purchases stupid crap. Sell the 20" and get a 12".

I think he has already bought them and awaiting the shipping wait.

SilverBullet
06-11-2001, 10:14 PM
I'm sorryy but I don't agree, getting a 20" barrel will not cut off your distance. It will make you turn the velocity adjuster so high that your tank is emptied in one shot, and your hammer needs replacement...But it won't cut off your distance. In fact you can "reach" quite a distance to your target with a 20" barrel.

By the way that is a nice deal for $100. That stuff is HOT! If you know what I mean. ;)

EvilAngel2001
06-12-2001, 04:17 AM
Well my guess is that he doesnt want to have to purchase co2 every other round. Or so I'm hoping. And as for the velocity, he might get in trouble with field refs if he was playing at an actual field. That's it for now.

Creek
06-12-2001, 04:32 AM
Well you can always buy a 20 lb tank and run a remote for it then he'd only need to use one tank a day.Unless he shoots a lot then he'd need 2 of them :)j/k

Jake
06-12-2001, 05:43 AM
WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let him buy what he wants. We all make mistakes and once he plays with it he will realize he made one as well. Good luck and maybe you can do something with your barrel

bigmax2005
06-12-2001, 07:54 AM
Thanks Jake, plus I probably won't keep the barrel anyways I will most likely sell it.

If you wanted to emphasize that statement to the fullest, wouldn't you want to capitalize the SOMEWHAT. Just a little advice for Max. Nothing more, nothing less.

Do you guys have nothing to do but sit around and pick the little problems out of what people do?? Just wondering.

Jake

It's also kind of funny how this thread went from a question about co2 size to tearing a guy a new ******* over his spelling and his long *** barrel

SilverBullet
06-12-2001, 07:10 PM
Well, I think we would could all agree that the more critical information has to do with enlightening Max about 20" barrels. We feel so strongly about this issue that we feel that no one should make the mistake of buying one. Throw EVERYTHING else out. THIS is the important issue... and it's something we know something about.

By the way, go with the 12 oz, and if you find it isn't enough, you can always buy a 20 oz later. But 12 should be enough.
