regulator it does so much more than an expansion chamber

the expansion chamber is basically a grip, it doesnt really do much, well not nearly as much as a regulator

what kind of air source are you running? Co2 or HPA system?

if your running HPA, then there is no need for a X chamber. get the Reg. If you are running Co2 then you have to decided between a reg or X chamber. remember, not all regs are designed for use with Co2!!!!!! it's kinda uses to get a reg that doesn't work too good on Co2. so you should do your research. If your using Co2, then the best reg for you would have to be a Palmer Stabalizer.

Pr0kch0p is right on. I played with a stock cocker reg today and I got +/- 5 fps the entire day. My stabilizer comes in the mail tomorrow, hehe. Anyways, for the record, poiuyt is dead wrong, either X-chamber or reg works for either type of air. It's just that one (the reg) will actually do something, and another (the x-chamber) will just look pretty.

do you need a reg to use a lp chamber. i heard you need a reg an lp chamber and a turbo valve or your lp chamber doesvirtually nothing. Is this true? and is a reg worth the xtra money?

you don't need to buy a reg to use a low pressure chamber. The low pressure chamber alone will not do much to your gun. But with other components (reg, high flow valve, high flow bolt, & the right barrel) you can have a good low pressure system.

is a reg worth the extra money? I would say yes! because it gives you a better shot to shot consistency you get better accuracy from a reg.
