I am planning on getting a WGP regulator for $50. I was wondering, does the WGP reg work well with co2? Is there a better one that is not too expensive (less than 60) I have a stock Spyder Compact 2 in 1 Java.

actually the WGP reg works fairly well with Co2. It's a pretty basic reg. kinda hard to dial in though, because there is no where to mount a gauge on the reg itself.

WGP and Palmer (Stabilizer) regs both work well with CO2.
If you're looking for a low cost reg, I recommend CMI's R2000 Regulator. http://www.paintballcmi.com/regulator.htm
It isn't better than the WGP or Palmer but it is inexpensive and compact. The reg works well down to approx. 500psi. It won't do for a low pressure setup but it will provide a constant pressure input to your marker - especially good for CO2. http://www.warpig.com/paintball/technical/gasses/co2pv.gif

i got a wgp reg from my friend's cocker, $30. great deal if you ask me, my shots are pretty consistent now and there is no co2 clouds shooting out the barrel anymore :D
i dont plan on messing with it because i am happy with it and if i go LP i will just upgrade this reg because i am sure it will be too wierd to go LP with

I've got one of the WGP regs, and it works pretty well. My stabilizer should be coming soon, but the WGP has worked fine while I had it. I got about +- 5 while I was out. Also, don't pay 50 bucks for one. I've seen them go as low as 15, with the average being 30. If you give me a PM I might be able to give you the name of a guy who's selling for 25, actually.
