Is there anything you can do to improve the performance of a stock barrel, like polishing or something? If you match your paint to your stock barrel, what is the advantage to an aftermarket barrel?

There is nothing that you can do to a stock barrel that will give it the performance of an aftermarket one.

There are many advantages of a aftermarket barrel. Better paint match. The material the barrel is made of,(IE ceramic, steel, alum, titanium) Porting. length. The general quallity of the barrel is just better.
