What is a beaver tail?

A beavertail is a ring shaped piece of metal that protects you from smacking yourself in the mask with your rear cocking bolt. Look at the Spyder TL and you will see what it is.

it is also built in to a sight rail except for the autococker.its on the bottom.

i always thought it was a long flat end piece on one of those animals that builds dams :-)... just kidding. They were origionally designed for the autococker for two main reason- when the ac was first invented, it had a large chunk of metal that was the back block and the beaver tail prevented it from smaking you and your mask. The main reason for them though is to prevent tourney player from getting extra velocity by pushing on the cocking rod to make their autocockers shoot "hot."

thats not my gun, i have a blue shocktech- thats the new kapp autococker and the new style kapp beaver tail. im waitn to see when the new badboystoys website will open up then i can use high quality pics from them b/c they retail the gun i have :-) to bad they are still workin on their site. So i used the new kapp guns as a good reference.

Na, I like some kapp products but I wouldn't want an all kapp gun. I like my palmer, dye and shocktech parts also!

would u turn it down if some one , like a newbie, wanted to sell it to you because the bolt was in upside down for like $300?

My bomb 3 way valve is in the mail to me right now. I also will be putting a rat 3:16 in soon. When I get a new bolt that too will be shocktech.

s are not as good as other Autocockers overall.

And I don't have 300 to buy a KAPP from a tupid nebie even if they offered.

I remember back when i had my cocker and i pushed in the cocking rod while shooting at my friend it was so damn funny he was getting pissed because i was shooting so far compare to him
