View Full Version : AT10/85
anyone know anyone that owns one of these? i was looking to get the AT10 but i don't know anyone who has an AT anything. i've looked at the thing forever but i need to know what i need to know before spending 450+ on a gun that holds 25 rounds.

The guns are cool and fun to use but you have to realize that you can't use them in tournies and that it is harder then spit to get parts...me and my buddy wanted at85's for a long time but we realized that it woudl be impractical...cause we couldn't us them if we ever wanted to play any tourney and no body really sells them accept funsupply and skanline...they are fun....but not a very practical idea.

These are excellent markers! They can switch from semi to full auto by the flip of a switch and with the clip feed it is a lot better forcrawling and running and so forth. http://www.unitedpaintball.com sells them by the way. They are hard to find parts for and really hard to maintain if you dont have experience but all in all they are great!

Just got mine yesterday, can't wait til this weekend to take it for a spin.
And why can't you use 'em in tournies? Cause of the full auto? There IS a tournament lockout for that.
Who cares if they're not practical. I like it 'cause it feels like a fraggin MP-5. :D

They are pretty cool, but would make a better Scenario gun.
Imagine the Ultimate AT85:
Hopper adapter with a WARP FEED and a Flatline barrel system. Nice... :D

Are they not allowed in tourneis because of the f/a features?

Not because of the full auto, becuase of the method that it feeds the paintballs. It uses a "force" feeding method which gives it a faster loading time. But I not sure what the rule is now that the warp feed system has come out.

From what I know and have heard...you cannot use warp feeds in NPPL tournies...but like zaps and all the other tournies...you can....the thing with the AT85 is that it has the force feed whcih kills it from NPPL and full auto kills it from everything else.

The NPPL now allows force feeding, thats why Airgun Designs spent the money to develop warp feed. The gun is also very nice, never shot one but I have heard nothing but good.

Paintball will always change it's rules when the next big thing comes along. It's a players game, they dictate the manner in which it is played. I'm not sure if that's good or bad for a sport but that's the way it is.

So have we come up with a definitive idea of whether or not AT-series guns are tourny legal? Not that I'm tournament-ready out-of-my-box. :D
C4pyro

No they are not tourny legal...mostly cause of the full auto

i have thought for a long time that the next big innovation in paintball will be a new type of hopper. People will continue to try and get more BPS forever
so in other words...no one knows much about this marker other than the spare parts issue? bps is all good and fine but i was thinking of getting the AT10 for a sidearm. or buy two for speedball. tourney legal makes no difference since i could careless about playing in a tournament. anyone with any GOOD comments that pertain to THIS TOPIC would be appreciated.

I hear people talk about warp feed, but don't know what it looks like or how it works. Anyone know where I can find out more about it?

ude if you don't care abut tournies...go for it...they can cycle fast in full auto and those little AT10's are very compact...two of them would look killer.

Richy_C

So can alot of other guns
yes, he who hath most business clout wins. Bullcrap isn't it? AT85 is a cool gun but has a positive feed. What would you call a warp feed?
