I thought i had fixed my fsdo with the silicon lube, but not at all. during the last game saturday i could shoot once. ball didnt even make it out of my barrel, flip gun over, shoot that ball out. flip gun over. and shoot. now by then the FSDO should have been gone. but when i shot it rolled out the barrel about 3ft ahead of me. so i shot again, little better. again, better. again, finally no drop. so i waited untill the other team got on the field. shot my gun once just to check it and the ball didnt make it out of the barrel again. it has gotton to the point now where if i wait more than 2 seconds(literally) i get BAD FSDO.
i would like to here every possible thing that could cause this. because i must have chopped 3 times saturday because i shoot at a guy and not realize that the ball was still in the barrel, then the next shot. and all was lost.

Check your dewell pressure and what prssure you shooting at. That might help hope it does.

Clean your hammer
Clean hammer chamber
Clean your solenoid (lube it VERY lightly)
Make sure there isnt too much silicone in the hammer, 6-7 drops is enough
Turn your dwell counterclockwise 1/8 turn
Make sure your bolt and bolt chamber are clean
All will be fixed:)

this is foolish, everyone writes how they have a fsdo, well get a tape worm, or a solonoid optimizer. thats what they are there for guys. i had the fsdo, and no i bought a eclipse solonoid optimizer, and i havent had a fsdo since i got it. cost me 25 bucks, get off ya can and go to your local shop and buy one.

didnt your momma ever tell ya to think before you speak. if your had read my sig and if you know anything about impulses you would realize that the LPR i have on my nasty it the best 'noid optimizer out there.
so next time your gonna say something think first so you dont make yourself look like and idiot.

Scorpion. i didnt mean that the ans was the best. just that LPR is the best optimizer. i have heard that the rocks are much better too.

I laugh at you.
ISO's were created to stop bolt stick. They WILL NOT stop fsdo. Some people say they helped with it, but it is NOT a cure.
Fsdo is a hammer/solenoid problem, the hammer is too sticky to make a full cycle, so it wont hit the valve with enough pressure to make the ball leave the barrel. This makes for a very messy situation.
Regulator-
To clean the hammer chamber just remove the hammer, and use a battleswab to clean out the hole it came out of. Just make sure there isnt any grease down in there. People clean their hammers off, but forget to realize theres probably grease in the chamber. When they reinstall, grease gets on the hammer, causing problems. Then they think its not the hammer anymore (because they 'cleaned' it), and move on to other things when it's a simple fix.
To clean the solenoid:
Remove grip frame
Finde the two solenoid wires (if memory serves me right, they'res one red, and one black wire)
Carefully remove those wires from the board (it has a small plug, pull STRAIGHT out when removing)
Remove the two small phillips head screws on the top of your solenoid
The solenoid will come off the body, and so will a small rubber seal (the gasket)
Wipe down the gasket, the solenoid face and the gun body where the gasket touches.
Set gasket aside, don't lost it
On the back of the solenoid (end that faced the back of the gun when installed), you'll see two very small phillips screws.
Those screws hold on a black plastic cap, look at this cap carefully, there's a notch on one side, REMEMBER WHICH WAY THIS NOTCH POINTS. I believe it points down, however I havent had my solenoid apart in a while.
Remove those screws.
Carefully remove that plastic cap (again, remember the notch).
The cap will come off, so will a very small cone spring, note the way the spring came out, set the spring and cap aside.
With needlenose pliers, pull on the small brass rod you now see sticking out.
A rod with 3 small orings will come out.
Wipe down these orings with a SOFT CLOTH rag, do not use paper products.
Use a q tip and wipe down the chamber this rod came out of.
Very, very lightly lube those three orings.
Make sure the space between orings doesnt have any grease there, a VERY light coat on just the orings is all you need.
Install the rod the same way it came out.
Put the cone spring back on the way it came out.
Install the black plastic cap, putting the notch on the way it came off, screw on the two small screws.
Lightly lube the gasket, dont let grease get inside the gasket holes.
Line up the solenoid/gasket holes, install the two long screws back into the body.
Plug the wires back in.
Install grip frame.
You're done.
I know it sounds like a big job. The first time I did this it took 20 minutes, the second time it took about 5. Its just a clean/lube on three orings, just takes a bit to get to those orings. :)
Ok, now its time to rest my hands, my fingers hurt. :)

Change the battery. I have seen this cause the same thing. I had an impulse that would do it, and about the 3rd shot when I get on it would be up to 280. That would be the first thing to do. After that then I would check everthing else.

FSDO is like Herpes, sure you can make it die down, but you'll never be rid of it :)

Its a good guied, but its not the most comprehensive, he gives you two reasons of fsdo, solenoid and ram. Theres way more causes than that.
And besides, pushing the bolt forward 1/4 inch is nowhere near the same as firing a shot..it will free up the ram a bit, but not like shooting will.
eh, best one i have found so far
if you have any links to better guides then i wouldn't mind seeing them, that way i could add that to my sig instead

If I wasn't so lazy I'd type one up. There's just this one problem...I'm lazy.
Maybe after I get back from Chicago...
don't worry about it, i only put the link in my sig cos i was too lazy to eplain it every time, that and the fact that pressing the http button everytime was getting annoying:D
