View Full Version : home filling tanks
Where can i get some info on how to fill co2 at home? The problem is my dad welds, so he has lots of co2 tanks lying around. We recently rigged up a small tank (about knee-high like they use on fountain drinks) and an old remote coil and filled some tanks partially. I need to know If the small tanks will work and also im getting a fill station so i need to know the complete filling process... ive got a postal scale amd the tanks...anyone help a cookie out?
(ps i know about frosting the tanks i just need a total breakdown)

IF YOU HAVE A REMOTE HOSE ALL YOU NEED IS 2 BALL VALVES FOR A FILL STATION
YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOUR TANKS HAVE DROP TUBES OR SIPHON TUBES AS SOME PEOPLE CALL THEM I AM DOING THE SAME THIN YOU ARE ALL I NEED IS A STEEL REMOTE
Ok, here is one more question. My understanding is you need an siphon tank to put liquid not gas into the tanks you are filling. Just as antisiphon performs the opposite duty into your gun.
Ok, well the field here before they closed used a normal co2 cylinder hung upsidedown to acheive the same effect.
Anyone know why this wouldnt work?
Also is there a proble with using the smaller tanks??
Thx,

is there a problem with using smaller tanks? only the fact that they cant hold as much Co2 as big ones! my friend has a fill station, and he uses 50lbs tanks. flips em upside down, with the fill station attached, and give me and my friends excellent Co2 fills!
