Anyone who owns a big chunck of land ever started up you'r own 24 hour game with a hole bunch of friends. I think that would be cool if you could get enough people. What do you think..

Thanks,

A guy i know made his back yard into a paintball field. We havent ever had a 24 hour game, but sometimes a bunch of us get together and we play some really cool games. It is really fun to put 3 or 4 guys with angels agaisnt 20 other guys with low-mid level semis. :)

Backyard games ain't bad when the backyard is a maze of a Christmas tree farm with a sideline airstrip. I've had three game packed days at my sister & brother-in-law's place. We only had 4 players and we were eliminating each other sometimes with no one knowing where the shots were coming from. In our first outing my little brother had a Talon, my older brother used his new Model 98, I used his old Model 68 & my nephew had his new Stingray. My little brother gave up playing early due to our mom bundling him up too much, so the rest of the day my brother-in-law used the Talon & eliminated me once from only 4-5 feet away. He was laying under a row of Christmas trees & I walked right into him & my Goggles had a 4.0 quake when he shot me in the face. Our last time out was much better. My brother-in-law got to use the Stingray because of my nephew getting a Spyder SE which fortunately he had the velocity down too far on, as my Model 68 was able to hit him while his shots dropped next to my feet. My best shot came when my nephew was out in a maze of trees shooting at me as I crossed through an opening. I aimed the Model 68 into the air & for about 20 shots thought I was getting no where when I saw shots sailing off the property, that is until the 'RATS!!!!!' came from behind the trees when one shot dropped right on him.

if you live near a real field that is the saftest way to play.

Not always amargio. If all of your friends are trustworthy and responsible with paintball guns and playing, it can actually be a LOT safer playing in a nearby field than with a bunch of immature morons or inexperienced newbies at real paintball fields.

Also got a lake when talking about doing a boat landing thing with one on the shore and the otheres come and do a beach landing. The Rangers are thinking about it right now too let us do it.A big Maybe

I asked the rangers at the state park next to my house if I could use it and they said no and if i catch you doing it I'll confiscate your paintball gun. You're lucky creek.

Still working on it. I'll be playing my cousin. He tried out my ray- then bought a samurai. Knowing his loud mouth- he' ll spread it like wind.

Weasel Well i guess one thing most of us that when and talk too them are over 30.I not saying youmger people arn't playing we just fig it be better this way. You know too go talk too them about it.We presented it a way that they would go for it. They let 4X4's on there and stuff and bike riders etc. The main thing is not too distroy stuff. We started on a area that wasn't used for much of anything and they only way they knew we was there was the paint spots. And so of the rangers got kids that play the game also that helps.

We are young peoples. It is our own land, and with him spreading it, we' ll have more paintball players in no time. Our land is'nt used for much else- we can't even hunt because of the small season- and it' s outside of summer- AND nothing above 12 ga. And it rains often- so paint will stay about a week tops.

So far it's been only family in the games I've played. So we definitely have no problem with trust. The games there are over now though. My sister & brother-in-law are moving. My next games will be at Semper-Fi in Bellingham,Washington
& with my brother & I carrying our new Avalon Diamond GT Commando 2s, mine with my new Laser Sight & optional 1000+ Round Hopper. It also carries my tools & squeegie & cleaners. I can also leave the laser sight attached, something I thought would be impossible with it before.

Are the Commando 2s good? I'd like to get one.

My brother & I got ours yesterday & tested them today. They are very accurate & so quiet, that an aftermarket barrel would be little improvement if any. Mine had a stripped "F" screw part#31 on diamondgt.com(replaced easily with a common screw & if mailed in with Warranty Registration Card, will be replaced by Avalon) and my brother couldn't get his barrel on, I traded him barrels & both guns are working perfectly. If you have read reviews on pbreview.com don't listen to the one's who try to say it's loud or too long. It is almost silent and looks and feels like a dream. It comes with a fabulous case that holds everything tight, an Avalon barrel plug, which needs to be put in tightly or you'll be able to fire it with a broken ball right behind it like I did. Also includes a Avalon Designer 2 screw elbow that is made like a VL-Bow,a standard elbow, a spare velocity spring & all the tools for field stripping. You may want a small phillips for the ball detent & a medium size normal screw driver for the ing knob. The stock extends quite far as Avalon has made it specifically for a 20 Oz. CO2, I am inquiring about use of a 24 OZ. with it. Smaller than a 20 Oz. does nothing. With a 20 Oz. it is a very gas effecient gun and the six stages expansion chamber is made to work in sub-zero conditions. I'll test that later.Trigger pull is so light you'll have to check your finger is really on the trigger. I purchased mine through paintballhq.com, they have the lowest price & carry the black which resembles the cooler looking assault rifles.

I got one for Christmas and I absolutely love it. I agree with a few of the reviews about it being too long though (one of them is mine by the way). Don't get me wrong though, it's not uncomfortable long to hold while playing or running. But when you try to play tight to a speedball bunker it can get interresting trying to snap shoot with a fully extended stock and a 20oz CO2. I'm getting set up with a remote and a pack, as soon as I buy my friend's remote line. About the backyard paintball thing, does anyone have any ideas or layout drawings for a good speedball field? I've got about 7 acres of woods (complete with trails) and cleared fields and I'd like to try setting up a small (read as- cheap, planning for 2v2 or 3v3 games) for me and my friends. If anyone has any drawings or ideas or anything like that I'd love to hear from you (field owners as well).

, thanks

If you're going to play outlaw or backyard ball, that's cool, so long as you play far away from anywhere people may wander onto (very stongly suggest private property, that belongs to someone in your group), and enforce the goggle and barrel plug rules. And if you decide to regularly do outlaw, have everyone chip in and buy a chronograph, it's common sense, and everyone will have more fun if they know they are safe.

What part of Illinios? We live in a small town south of Rockford. We can get 30-40 people on a weekend to play. One of the best paintball fields is here also. Ever hear of Challenage Park? It's the Disney world for Paintball:):):) There are many paintball players here.

try to play as safe as you can....this is a great sport and maybe your group can find some land that the owner is willing to let you use....maybe start your own small field a little at a time....good luck guys....:D

maybe if you draw out a plan for about 20 acres and show it in a proffesional manner to your uncle he will look at it different.....show him some articals about the good part of paintball and what it does to keep kids off the streets doing other things....he may even be interested in making some money if you present it right...........

But then you have to go through the hassle of insurance, filling out forms, etc. etc. Probably isnt too hard, just dont go opening a field without insurance

i always thought it would be cool to play in an abandoned wharehouse or a construction site with a bunch of players

Jamez Bond

me too- that would kick ashe! We have one- on that property. I can just imagine beeing bunkered there- and junk falling off the shelves and nailing me. What I've wanted to do is build a plywood house- do like, S.W.A.T. breaking and entering- without the breaking part. Do room clearing- but you'll have to chrono your gun low- prefferably under 250FPS, and indoor armor would'nt be a bad idea- either

Woah that would be sweet man! Around here, Spokan Washington, we are lucky to get 10 people to play, and it is always backyard or outlaw. The only local field is very expensive, 15 to get in and 6 for paint, they wont let you use outside paint either. That would be awsome in the old apartment though, I can see it now...

Ya my Great Grandads got 25 acres, and me and about 8 o my buds played capture the flag style all up and through the woods. It was so fun, cause the dads reffed and if they got shot theyed come chassen us with there lil talons and stingrays up and all around the place it was halarious.
